- Previously on... Michael and Jesse figured someone tried to dump a body off a plane in the Bahamas. The body belonged to a guy named Kassar. A nosy neighbor named Kendra, who Michael and Jesse now suspect killed Kassar, tried to foil their plans to break into Kassar's house, but she fled and they found some tapes hidden in a wall.
'Neighborhood Watch:' Michael was having trouble hacking into the antiquated tape drive he found in the wall. He realized he and Fiona were being watched by Kendra so he called Sam and had him come over to the fashion district to help capture her.
Michael lured her into an alley with Sam's help, but Kendra slipped away in a most athletic manner, leaving behind a cell phone. They chatted about how each was looking for the other, but Michael said he wanted to talk to her. She wasn't having it.
Michael told Jesse he was going to offer to sell the tape to Kendra. Maddy wanted to introduce Michael to a friend who was having some issues with drug dealers. The dealers were selling heroin in front of her clinic in Homestead. They attacked her boyfriend and threatened to kill him if he called the cops.
Michael, Fi and Jesse paid a visit. Lauren's boyfriend didn't want to operate outside the law. He said he didn't want to be intimidated by the dealers. David finally agreed to let Michael et al do their particular thing.
Kendra called and Michael offered to sell her the tape for $50,000. They agreed to meet the next day. He left Jesse and crew to figure out the drug dealers' hierarchy.
Sam and Fi staked out the dealers and Jesse bought some drugs with bills on which he taped a radio tracking device. Sam and Fi literally followed the money to a strip club. Sam volunteered to do the surveillance inside. Fi called Michael's old neighbor, Sugar, for some insight into the business. Sugar recognized Cutler, the drug dealer, and wanted nothing to do with him, saying he was psychotic. Sugar tried to leave quickly and caught Cutler's attention. Cutler recognized him from a previous run-in where Sugar was told to never get involved in Cutler's business again. With Sugar in serious danger, Sam interfered and took a slight beating to give Sugar a chance to escape.
Michael, Fi and Sam closed up the back doors of the clinic and told David and Lauren their plan to steal Cutler's stash, which would mean he'd owe a Mexican cartel some serious cash. Michael planned to give Cutler something else to hide, and asked David if he knew any veterinarians who could get him some fentanyl. Michael went to the strip club and talked up Cutler.
Sam dressed as a mall cop for Michael and Kendra's meeting. Sam planned to grab Kendra for shoplifting and tase her, but he never got the chance as Kendra said she'd rather meet another time when she could pick the place.
Maddy came over and yelled at Michael for having closed up the clinic. Cutler called and asked to meet Michael in a secluded place. Michael gave Cutler some of the fentanyl and asked to show Cutler and his guys how to cut it into their heroin. Cutler refused, though, preferring to maintain his privacy. He sent his guys to the stash house with the drugs while threatening Michael that he'd kill him if the cut didn't pan out. Jesse followed the dealers to the stash house and ignored Michael's instructions to give them some space as he trailed them. They cut Jesse off and he had to pull some fancy moves to get away while they shot at him.
The dealers attacked the clinic, tossing a rock through the window and shooting into it. Michael told them to close up the clinic for a few days. David didn't want to go along, so Michael kidnapped him and brought him back to Jesse's place.
Michael and Sam enlisted a 12-year-old to help with some aerial recon near the stash house. They attached an infrared camera to the bottom of a remote control plane and while they struggled to get it to fly straight the kid saw and showed them his skills. They got the shots they needed. Michael asked Sam to get a delivery truck.
Kendra called Michael and another flirty conversation ensued. She told him to meet her at the dock the next day, and she warned him that if he didn't come unarmed and alone, she'd be looking for a place to stash his corpse. Fiona, hearing only Michael's end of the conversation, said she wished their talks were that flirty. Michael told her that Kendra threatened to kill him and Fi said, "I can do that."
David was trying to leave the house because he'd been hearing the clinic was under assault. Michael and Fiona went to check it out and saw Cutler shouting as he broke more of the clinic's windows and said they were shut down. Michael didn't want to intervene, but when he saw a guy prepping a molotov cocktail, he and Fi took out the sniper rifles and sent their own message. The dealers fled.
Michael wanted to stick to the plan, but Fi and Jesse wanted to go to war with Cutler to get rid of him. Maddy saw this and pulled Michael aside, telling him the story of when his younger brother Nate was picked on by bullies in middle school. Michael protected Nate for one school year, but the next year, when Michael was off to high school, Nate was fair game again and regularly got picked on, Maddy related, until he one day stood up for himself and smacked the bully with a two-by-four.
Getting his mother's message, Michael told Fi the new plan was to let David handle the retaliation. "We're just going to give him a little help," Michael said.
Michael went to Cutler and told him David attacked him and his people. He gave Cutler a whole story about David being a former black-ops and said that Cutler's corner boys were probably already dead. (Sam and had taken care of a few of them on David's behalf.)
Michael nervously sent David into a face-to-face meeting with Cutler on the street as all of Cutler's guys pointed guns at David. With Jesse and Fi manning sniper rifles and explosive detonators from afar, Michael orchestrated a scenario that made it look like David was conducting a symphony of explosions and gun blasts. Cutler and his men fled after Fi blew up their stash house.
Michael went to his meeting with Kendra, with Sam hiding in the back seat. She handed over $50,000 cash, but came after Michael with a knife, wounding him in the left arm. A fight ensued, but Michael used his steel-reinforced briefcase to protect himself from further injury and to knock her out.
Sam helped him stuff her into the trunk of their car.
