- TriviaThe opening monologue contains several jokes about San Francisco and cable cars, since Red had just returned from a visit to that city. The sketch is titled "King Putt" and features Red in two roles: first, he is archaeologist Professor von Klein Shagnasty who, along with his wife, are digging in the Egyptian desert, seeking the tomb of King Snafu the First; the second part of the skit finds Red as King Snafu back in olden times who, learning that his kingdom is bankrupt, decides to marry wealthy Queen Cleopatra, not realizing that her kingdom, too, is broke. Guest Sheree North, as the Queen, sings and dances to a number about the River Nile.
