Murder in Chartreuse

A crime film, admirable for the manner to propose a fresh air , personal life details being parts of the identification of a murderer / revenger.

Beautiful location, some drops of humor, impressive sculptures and stories about relatives.

And a little sick girl , having the chance of two guardian angels.

Not being a fan of crime movies, it is not fair to propose a verdict about Les bois maudits. But the few new ingredients for an old, so familiar recipe remains a real good point. Sure, unrealistic scenes and too pink end. But nothing is perfect.

A man's body has been founded suspended puppet-like by a system of ropes. Justine Verard is in charge of the investigation with Mehdi Djaoud. On a side we have the investigation about this strange murderer who acts as a puppeteer and on the other side we have the tense relationship between Justine and Medhi (because Mehdi was present when Justine's husband was shot down in a police operatice and Justine considers Mehdi for responsibele for his death) and the story of Lea, Justine's daughter who suffering from leukemia.

The investigation is quite interesting : some persons have received money, why did they receive this money ? What where the relationships between all these persons ?

I enjoyed some moments of suspense and the beautiful lamdscapes of la Chartreuse.

Good performances of Blandine Bellavoir, Samr Boitard, Coline d'Inca, Stéphan Wojtowicz, Camlle Moutawakil, Romane Libert ,Margaux Lenot and Francine Lorin-Blazquez.
