- [opening narration]
- Harry von Zell: Last week Gracie was hypnotized into being the smartest woman in the world. This is the result.
- Blanche Morton: I was going to phone you and ask you to go shopping with me but I thought I better check first and see if your line was busy.
- Gracie Allen: No, it's not, Blanche, so call me as soon as you get home.
- Blanche Morton: I certainly will. And if my line is busy, you call me.
- Gracie Allen: Or vice-versa.
- George Burns: Blanche, I was just talking to a man in London. What happened?
- Blanche Morton: Well, you certainly got back to this country pretty fast.
- George Burns: No, no, I was talking to him on the phone.
- Blanche Morton: Oh. Well, if you just wanted to talk to him on the phone, you didn't have to go to London. You could have called him right from here.
- George Burns: Did -- did you talk to somebody on the phone with a deep voice?
- Blanche Morton: No, no, I used this voice - the one I always use.
