True events that will depress the hell out of you.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie mostly spots light on main problems every single youth man/woman might (definitely will) face in Egypt. Starting from the dream of getting married, and immigrating to another countries in a touching scenario, and soundtrack. It shows how Egyptians aged from 20s-30s lack passion, and optimism because of the the surrounding culture, and some other political factors. I recommend watching it, unless you are having a good day, and don't want to spoil it..

Good presentation but dragging at the end with too many issues in one go.

Egyptian MAIDENS:

Explores the hidden side of life in Egyptian society, in an effort to address one of the most painful issues affecting young women. The first half of the film flows with enough charm and much ease, with the fast moving story line but becomes heavy in the later half, with too many complicated distractions and a sudden and abrupt ending without a clue. The subtitles are painful to read as they get submerged into the white background leaving the viewer to guess most of the dialogues. Overall it is a good presentation but dragging at the end with too many issues in one go and a disappointing finish.

Warning: Spoilers
it's exactly the hidden side of life in Egyptian society Challenges, obstacles, depression, and pain, these are the most important life experiences for Egyptian unmarried women as shown in the recent movie, Egyptian Maidens, 'Benten men Masr'.

In a community in which women often pay the price, many girls find themselves obliged to compromise to find an opportunity to marry.

Searching for this opportunity at work, among her colleagues, and in marriage specialized offices, Hanan (Zena) gives an example of the positive one who tries to create a chance instead of cursing her conditions. However, she couldn't make it, why?

This what the movie is about, the way of thinking of men and the whole community in Egypt.

A Must seen movie, phenomenal script and director.outstanding and immortal performance for Seba and Zeina. It should be one of the landmarks in Cinema worldwide. Mohamed Amin, you are the best director in Egypt in last 30 years despite the relatively low number of movies.

one of the worst film I ever watched lately
ainoxtina18 March 2013
In a good way, this film reminds me of the "A Thousand and One nights Story" for its ability to invent so many dramatic events to fill in a feature length plot. The filmmakers are so greedy when trying to put too much issues in such a short length, which give the story no space to develop itself. Plus, meaningless n showing off camera work make the film even worst. Basically, this looks more like a shortened light-hearted TV drama than a wide-screen movie. The main reason for me to stay till the end of the film is to see how big will such ridicule can be developed up to. Actually, this film might be very helpful for film student to watch and spot out the false that can be easily committed by early filmmaker.
