how materialistic world changes people

Warning: Spoilers
One of the best "written" comedy drama for TVB. By that I mean this show is a talky. All dialogue, references, meanings. It's like radio, you 'have' to listen carefully to hear what is going on.

Albeit it the first 5 episodes meanders a bit. But at the end of 3rd episode you know it's different with the philosophical renderings.

There is 1 main female lead and 3 male leads. The female lead is a "HK girl" (an almost notorious term depicting the various despicable traits of the 'typical' Hong Kong raised young woman). She is the center piece of this show. She is young, picky, career minded, but not particularly attractive. But by twist of fate, she discovers that when she kisses a guy (any guy), the male hormone somehow transforms her physically (including looks and fashion sense) into a super hero. She can fly, posses super strength ..etc. But only for a short time. This other side of the character became know as "Janet Bean" - a play on Cantonese pronunciation of words kind of means super smart.

The 3 male leads consists of 1 altruistic plastic surgeon, 1 righteous cop with a super right hand, and 1 gentle, kind hearted office guy who has known the female lead for some time.

Curiously, these 3 undergoes transformation too but purely because of their encounter with Janet Bean. The plastic surgeon falls for Janet and becomes greedy/amoral/famous and hope that can attract Janet. The righteous cop becomes ruthless/single minded/vigilantly in hopes of restoring his manly status. The office boy becomes a showoff/materialistic/vengeful due to trouble caused by Janet.(i may have this wrong since watching this a year ago)/.

The office guy is very funny, he is a good actor. There is one episode where he character gets slapped by 5 others and looses trusts with all his relatives/family and goes to prison.

And there are funny side characters, and scenes. Liike the 3 sex craved men at the office, the mother of the plastic surgeon who is an artistic painter, the suspicious wife of the super cop, the super attractive female office counterpart of Janet ..etc.

***** spoiler **** But what is ingenious about the show is the ending. It is not a chase scene filled, all out action oriented. The ending is dramatic in that it is up to the each character's moral sense of self (and mind) that turns everything around. That is brave and smart writing.

And I couldn't resist the line by plastic surgeon's mother near the end. Something like ..t Art is not management, but expression
