With Nutkins gone. The second episode deals with his funeral and his colleagues getting drunk in the pub afterwards.
The episode is meant to give Lana some character moments. I just thought Trigger Point was not meant to be that kind of drama.
It is meant to be intense and less about the characters. Here the focus on Lana and her personal life made the episode average. The writing was functional.
More important was who was responsible about the bomb that went off on the Whitehaven estate that killed Nutkins.
Lana suspects that the device and bombs were too sophisticated for Islamist terrorists. Her bosses disagree.
However there is a by election taking place and the far right are using the bombing for their own ends.
I'm not sure that I'm enthused with this side plot. A false flag operation to start a race war especially against Muslims. It is lazy and has been done so many times since 9/11.
