Part 2: Hollow (adaptation)
leplatypus26 June 2013
The 2 last games of Potter are just totally crap: if the technology is horrible (see Part 1), the adaptation isn't better.

The last book of the saga was interesting in the sense that for one year, they skip school and live outside so I expected to experiment those new moments.

In Part 1, I couldn't go past the Doxies in the level 4 so I didn't get out of the Grimmauld place. The fault is to blame the rotten aim visor that just can't focus on the target (see Part 1). Up there, the challenge was to stun opponents over and over and avoid bumping people in London streets! What a creativity !

On part 2, I just quit before reaching the end of level 1 as the descent into Gringots was endless and was again about stunning tons of death-eaters!

Well, for a tale for kids, I had the feeling that those games enrolled me in the army.

Like movies today, video-games are unlikely to offer other choices than killing opponents. Maybe it's ultimately a good thing because because our generation stages wars while our folks made them.

Unfortunately, those games were gifts so i couldn't throw them in a bin but put them back in the shelves. Maybe one day i would like to open them again, especially to play with my child bur right now, they duly take dust!

Ends just as soon as it begins

I don't understand how a company can, in good consciousness, charge $60 for a game that's shorter in length than the movie it's based on. That's the epitome of greedy and just pure laziness.

Best Harry Potter video game ever!!!!!!!!
billytheking200819 July 2011
first of all let me begin by saying I'm a huge harry potter fan.but because of part 1 video game i had lost all hope for the second part.but i was wrong, this game is a blast from beginning to end.the action is non-stop.the enemies are varied and in order to defeat some of the them, you need to have a strategy.thats pretty cool.another thing i liked is how true this game is with the book and the movie.the graphics are top notch.I've read a lot of reviews complaining about the length of the game.i actually liked the game was short because i believe it would get pretty boring if it lasted more than 3-4 hours.so i really think that if you are a harry potter fan and you love the movies and games you should definitely buy this game.you wont regret it!!! 9 stars out of 10

Extremely Bad
danishsumo7 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Well as you can expect the
  • gameplay is repetitive, that too in the first 5 minutes into the game.

-The dialogues were cut short and were cringey and horrible!

  • The aiming is bad even when using a mouse!

  • It was the last Harry Potter game for God's sake and they just sailed off with a bare minimum, restricted environment kinda gameplay!

  • Spells: There's a whole arsenal of spells in the HP universe and all these guys could put in was Stupify, Protego, Expelliarmus, Expulso, Confringo, Petrificus Totalus, Impedimenta (most of the spell mechanics somehow changed from the last game)

-The chase sequences are okayish and quick tine events are iritating

-The whole concept of cover is such a mess in this game, especially for characters (McGonagall) who just stands there and only has protego as defence

-The levels look different but have the same concept, which is irritating, especially the chamber of secrets level

  • The biggest disappointment was the end of the game because all I had to do was "focus the beam on voldemort"! Gaming had crossed such techincal and creative marvels but the studio couldn't come up with a lil more to be added in the game that could have made the game more enjoyable but as always cant expect anything from EA, they nicely used a fan favourite franchise as a cashgrab for themselves.
