To the results: Cat started the process to determine which two dancers would join Alex in the bottom three by bringing Billy and Lauren to the stage. Billy learned he was in the bottom, joining Alex. Adam said he didnt think Billy deserved to be in the bottom, but told him to forget that hes in a competition and dance with joy to connect with the viewers.
Laurens performances from Wednesday were recapped and Cat gave her the good news that she was safe for at least another week.
Cat called the rest of the dancers to the stage, starting with Kent. He was safe. Jose was safe, and so was Robert, for the first time in three weeks.
Ashley and Adechike were left to see which of them would land in the bottom with Billy and Alex. It was Ashley. Adechike was safe. Mia said she didnt know why Ashley was there, in the bottom, but said you know what to do. She also told Adechike that after watching her comments back Wednesday night she was too harsh on him and apologized if she hurt him in any way. She said it was her passion as a teacher that led her to be so tough on him.

Next, Cat welcomed the cast of In the Heights, featuring Tony-award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda. Later, Natasha Bedingfield paid a visit to sing her new song, Touch.
The decision: Nigel said the judges were unanimous and he asked Alex to hobble forward. He explained that Alex lacerated his Achilles tendon and said Alex would be having surgery on Tuesday and would need to rest for three months. This clearly meant he was out of the competition. Nigel said he would be invited to return next season.
Billy and Ashley were safe.
Nigel encouraged Alex and told him this was just another thing hed have to get through. Mia said Alex had left a mark on the show and in the world that wont be forgotten. Adam said Alex taught him that the best can be better and called him an inspiration.
Alex said his heart hurt a lot, but he was very grateful for the opportunity. He thanked everyone for supporting him every week. He said he had no regrets about what hed given up -- a job with Miami City Ballet -- and simply said, I am grateful.
