- With Marnie empowered by spirits of the dead, Bill issues an unpopular order to save vampires from the light. - Sookie and Eric become lovers. With Marnie now completely possessed by the 17th century witch, she recruits Tara and others to form the circle which will allow her to force all vampires out into the light of day and the true death. Bill knows who she is and orders all vampires to chain themselves with silver to keep from falling under the witch's spell. Bill's orders are followed but one vampire breaks through the restraints. Pam meanwhile undergoes a painful procedure to get her looks aback. Sam and Luna finally figure out who it is she slept with that morning. Alcide and his girlfriend Debbie are initiated into a new pack but Alcide is worried about Sookie, something that doesn't sit well with Debbie. Jesus and Lafayette are back from Mexico.—garykmcd
- There is a ruckus in the cell where Antonia-as-Marnie is being held. The guards finds Sheriff Patino holding Antonia-as-Marnie up against the wall with his fangs at her neck. But as soon as she enters the room Patino turns the tables on her and orders her to move the guards away from the back entrances, allowing Antonia-as-Marnie to escape. Under her orders he kills the guard. And she gives him a message for Bill: "It is Antonia Gavilan. And I am returned."
The decomposing but still feisty and powerful Pam is about to kill Tara and Naomi. But just as the vampire is about to choke Tara to death a group of camera-wielding humans show up prepared to document a vampire attack. Pam promises Tara she'll eventually get her, but lets her go.
Lafayette and Jesus are allowed to leave his grandfather's place. They mention Tio had to save Jesus, and his grandfather asks how Luca, who has been dead ten years, got there. Jesus' grandfather says the point of the exercise was for the medium Lafayette to realize he has "the magic."
Alcide and Debbie are officially inducted into the pack. Alcide is clearly worried about Sookie, and Debbie helps him look for her. They find her still making love to Eric. Alcide stares at the sexual scene and Debbie notices.
Patino tells Bill he has a message for Bill from Antonio, then shoots Bill in the stomach. Bill gets the upper hand and with a stake at Patino heart asks him what's going on. Patino shoves the stake into his own his own chest, saying "resurrection" just before experiencing the True Death.
Tara tells Naomi there is no place where she can avoid Pam. To give her the best chance of living Tara tells Naomi she must leave. Naomi drives off and Tara weeps.
Jason works out, still trying to get thoughts of Jessica out of his brain. Hoyt shows up. He says Jessica needed to do some work with Bill and is staying over there tonight. Hoyt makes him at home.
Bill tells Jessica that Antonia (who died 400 years ago) was the only human every to wield power over vampires. A powerful necromancer, Antonia is able to bring vampires into the sun. Bill thinks Antonia wants to finish what she started in 1610, making every vampire meet the sun.
Bill calls a sheriffs' meeting. The plan is for vampires to chain themselves with silver overnight to help them withstand the necromantic power of Antonia .
Eric and Sookie finish a marathon sex session in her bed. He asks if she wants him to remember, and if she will still want to be with him if his curse is broken.
Pam starts a dramatic process to help her appearance. She'll have to take six injections, four times a day until the spell is broken.
Sam takes Tommy to the emergency room. He appears to be feeling better and Sam asks what happened. Tommy thinks he might have eaten something that didn't agree with him.
Bill drops by Sookie's place to inform Eric of the plan for the night. She thanks Bill for letting Eric go. He drops off silver shackles.
Tara walks along the road with a bottle of booze, eventually thinking she hears Pam coming for her. It turns out to be Antonia-as-Marnie, who wants Tara to join her and fight the vampires. Antonia can sense Tara's past with vampires and "show" her what happened to her during the Inquisition. She tells Tara she can "avenge our torment," but needs her help. Tara is in.
Bill's compound is locked tight as he and Jessica are silvered in a cell in the basement.
Pam gets her final injection before being locked in her coffin and silvered.
Sookie shackles Eric, who wants her to stay with him through the night.
Jesus tells Lafayette some of the history of his uncle's healing power. Lafayette isn't thrilled about having the medium's power to connect with the dead.
Sam calls Luna, not realizing what happened with her and Tommy-as-Sam. She hangs up on him with a strong expletive.
Tara recruits Holly and a several others to help Antonia fight the vampires. Their thinking is that if the circle is strong enough they will be safe from vampires "for good."
Bill apologizes to Jessica for what's happened to them. She tells him she's experienced more as a vampire than she would have as a mortal. She confesses her uncertainty about Hoyt, saying she doesn't love him the same way he loves her. She wonders if being a vampire is the issue. Bill assures her that falling out of love with someone doesn't mean she's lost her humanity. Bill has no interest in killing Antonia, since that's what lead to this point in the first place.
After several hours of day the spell still hasn't come. Eric wants Sookie to take off the chains, but she thinks it's too risky. Eric doesn't want his memory back.
Sam stops by Luna's work to find out what is going on. She starts to explain the experience with Tommy and Sam realizes what has happened. They both realize she slept with a skin-walking Tommy.
Andy shows up at Merlotte's for the date with Holly. She completely forgot, but is still interested in meeting him. The date begins and Andy is acting strange, obviously going through V withdrawal. Eventually the symptoms get to be too much and he leaves her, taking the bouquet of roses he had brought her, with him.
Cooking in the kitchen at Merlotte's Lafayette notices that Creole-sounding young woman singing and talking to Mikey.
Debbie stops during sex with Alcide to ask if he's in love with Sookie. She starts crying and he swears he's just worried about her. He say's he's hers "forever."
Antonia-as-Marnie and her circle gather. She explains to them what they're about to do. She says "vampires are not immortal, they're only harder to kill."
A furious Sam confronts Tommy about what he did while skin-walking. He comes close to choking Tommy, but settles on just kicking him of his house.
Antonia-as-Marnie stands in the center of a circle and they all begin to chant a spell. She starts to hover several feet above the ground and it looks like the spell is starting.
At this exact moment Jason drops by Sookie's to let her know he's not a werepanther. She tells him she needs to stick with Eric, since he won't make it without her help. This gives Jason a thought and he sprints out of the house.
All the vampires begin yelling for the sun. We see one woman, Maxine Fortenberry's neighbor, walk out of her home and burst into flames.
Jessica breaks through her chains and gets to the bars of the cell. She kills a guard and uses his key to let herself out. Bill, desperate to stop her, orders Jessica as her maker to release him from his silver chains. She ignores him. She heads upstairs.
We see Jason is sprinting to Bill's place to help Jessica. Jessica crawls towards the front door as Jason is tackled by a guard on the front lawn. We hear a gunshot.
Jessica throws open the front door and steps through as the episode ends.
