Regardless of what you thought of Sunday’s WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on the whole, you have to admit that it was a strong night for in-ring action. Questionable finishes aside, both Hell in a Cell matches delivered a big way. Although we’ve seen John Cena and Randy Orton clash countless times before, their pleasantly surprising match exceeded expectations and saw Cena walk away as the new No. 1 contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. In the main event, former Shield cohorts Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins settled their score inside the confines of a Hell in a Cell. Following interference from a returning Bray Wyatt, Rollins capitalized and pinned the fallen Ambrose for the victory.
That said, you can’t hold a Hell in a Cell pay-per-view without an obscene amount of brutality. Granted, matches that take place inside Satan’s Structure these days...

As of October 28, 2014, World Wrestling Entertainment is a great corporation, but a terrible profession wrestling company. Thus, the WWE Hell In A Cell Pay-Per-VIew goes down in the record books as a compilation of the worst of in-ring moments at the worst of in-ring times. At a time where much of WWE’s roster is in complete flux, the company’s main failure is in ascertaining who deserves what, when, where and why.
With a babyface roster befallen by two major injuries (Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns), a babyface cornerstone of the promotion treading water without compelling opponents who can beat him (and gain legitimacy from beating him) in John Cena, and a babyface in waiting in Randy Orton, WWE’s in trouble. On the heel side of things, they’re overloaded with compelling competitors, but lacking in babyfaces for them to beat that the crowd can believe that in defeating,...

WWE’s Hell In A Cell event will take place this weekend on October 26th from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. With WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar not booked for the show, we instead get a double main event – John Cena vs Randy Orton, and Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins. These two cell matches are worthy substitutes for the show not having the WWE title. We are particularly excited for Ambrose vs Rollins which will be a feud ender and promises to deliver a potential match of the year. As for Orton and Cena, they at least carry the stipulation of the winner getting a future title match with Lesnar. That makes this stale match-up feel that little bit more interesting.
The rest of the card looks fairly decent as well. Dolph Ziggler vs Cesaro in a two out of three falls match for the...

This week’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw was the last episode before Sunday’s Hell in a Cell PPV. New matches were announced to give seven total matches for the PPV at this point while the Kickoff Show has a special event too. Here’s a rundown of everything we know so far.
They spent most of Raw pushing the idea that there will be a double main event at Hell in a Cell with two matches inside of the actual cell. We knew that going in, but we don’t know what match is going to go on last at this point.

The WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View takes place on Sunday October 26th in Dallas, Texas. There were five weeks between Night of Champions and Hell in a Cell. It seemed like WWE took their sweet time in getting their card set up. There were all kinds of rumors about what matches might take place and in what setting, but now it seems like they have everything in order.
The two main events were set up on Raw while others were confirmed on WWE.com as well. Here’s a look at the five announced matches.

The next gimmick-themed WWE PPV is just around the corner, and fans are gearing up to see who will face Seth Rollins inside the demonic structure known as Hell in a Cell: John Cena or Dean Ambrose. If that is the only cell match on the PPV of the same name, then it will be the 29th Hiac match in WWE history, a storied past that reaches back 17 years.
Hell in a Cell is supposed to be a rarely used gimmick in WWE that is an endpoint for feuds. Consider that before WWE implemented the Hell in a Cell PPV in 2009, there had been only 16 cell matches (over 12 years). That means the remaining 12 have taken place in the last five years (although one is a dark match). Ten have taken place at the five Hiac PPVs, and the outlier is the Undertaker-Triple H “End of an Era” match at WrestleMania Xxviii.

It has been expected to be happening for several weeks and now it’s official. At WWE Hell in a Cell on October 26th, John Cena will face Dean Ambrose in a singles match. The winner of that contest gets to face Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell. The matches were announced at the end of Raw by WWE’s on screen Chief Operating Offer Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon.
The match between Cena and Ambrose will match two babyfaces against each other. Just because they are both faces doesn’t mean they are necessarily friends. Cena’s been having issues with Ambrose for weeks now just because they both have wanted to get their hands on Rollins. This week’s Raw ended with Ambrose laying out Cena with a double arm Ddt that Cena wasn’t expecting.

When Brock Lesnar won the WWE Title from John Cena at SummerSlam it led to a lot of questions from fans wondering what kind of schedule he would have going forward. Lesnar’s previous WWE schedule called for him to wrestle four times per year and make sporadic television appearances. Now that Lesnar’s the WWE Champion it appears like he’s going to be appearing more often, which is a great thing for WWE and its fans.
It was announced on Thursday that Lesnar is being advertised for the October 21 Smackdown tapings in Wichita, Kansas. It’s the last TV taping prior to the October 26 Hell in a Cell PPV event. At this time we don’t know if Lesnar would appear on Raw on October 20 or any other October shows. The assumption is that if Lesnar is going to be at a Smackdown taping prior to...

Batista is back, and he’s got his ‘eyes’ on the WWE Heavyweight Championship!
It’s been nearly four years since WWE fans caught a glimpse of Dave Batista in the ring — until now. The legendary “Leviathan” returned to Monday Night Raw on Jan. 20 to confront Randy Orton, as well as to announce his intentions to steal the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. ”Oddly enough, it felt like I was right at home,” Batista told WWE.com of his big return. “I was so nervous leading up to this, but once I got out there, it felt … familiar.”
While some fans were stunned by Batista’s return, those who have been paying attention to promos probably weren’t as taken aback. His triumphant re-entrance into the WWE universe was first touted Dec. 23 during Raw, and on Jan. 6, it was confirmed that he would be participating in the Royal Rumble Match on Jan.

WWE’s Hell in a Cell is a pay per view that I’ve never really got on board with, the idea of hosting two cell matches in one night, every year, kind of saturated the use of the cell for me, a match that was normally kept locked away for special occasions was being wheeled out for a show every year. Still, the events have produced some interesting matches and this event, on paper, sounded like it would be decent too.
The results of the matches are:
Cody/Goldust beat The Uso’s and The Shield to retain the WWE Tag Titles. The Miz had a brawl with The Wyatt Family and Kane returned. Fandango and Summer Rae pinned The Great Khali and Natalya. Big E Langston beat Dean Ambrose via count-out. Cm Punk beat Ryback and Paul Heyman in a Hell in a Cell match. Los Matadores beat The Real Americans.

Find out how Randy managed to take down The Big Show, then get all the results from one of the WWE’s biggest nights!
WWE Champion Randy Orton had the cards stacked against him when he faced The Big Show on Nov. 24 during the title match of WWE Survivor Series. As the organization’s official site points out, Randy has relied heavily on the interference of outside forces to retain his title, but Triple H made it clear that all Survivor Series face-offs would be strictly one-on-one. So how did the Viper manage to slither his way to victory?
Despite Triple H being adamant about no one interfering in the match, that’s exactly how Randy ended up winning! The Big Show was clearly going to steal the title from Randy — until Triple H, Kane and Stephanie McMahon showed up to distract the world’s largest athlete. Without physically intervening,...

We’re 24 hours removed from WWE Hell in a Cell 2013. Welcome to this week’s write-up of WWE Raw.
The show begins with a video package showing Daniel Bryan being kicked in the mouth by Shawn Michaels and losing to Randy Orton, who became the new WWE Champion.
John Cena is welcomed back as the New World Champion, and the fans, as they have for ten years now, are very mixed. A lot of boos from the adults in the audience, but the kids are having fun seeing the pink-shirt wearing hero back on television. I wish I could echo their cheers, but sadly I am not too happy about Cena’s return. I will say though, it does add some “oomph” to the World Title, being around Cena’s shoulder. The announcers put Cena over like their lived depend on it. Cena takes the microphone and proclaims that he’s back.

Proof, as if proof were needed, that Hell In A Cell is one of the WWE’s most dangerous events of the year came with the crowning of two new world champions in Miami.
Coming into this late October pay-per-view wrestling fans wondered whether Daniel Bryan or Randy Orton would walk out of Satan’s structure with the richest prize in the business.
The WWE Championship has been vacant – what was wrong with that terminology instead of a corporate business word like abeyance by the way – for over a month now. Hell In A Cell matches have always been designed to bring finality to feuds.
Who would have the last word? What role would WWE’s Chief Operating Officer Triple H have in proceedings? Could the integrity of the Showstopper Shawn Michaels be called into question as special referee?

New World Heavy Weight Champion John Cena tells HollywoodLife.com about the process of returning to the WWE after suffering a major injury.
The WWE‘s annual Hell In A Cell Pay-Per-View event was bigger than ever Oct. 27, with Superstar John Cena making his triumphant return to the ring after suffering a debilitating injury Aug. 18. Though his highly anticipated match against Alberto del Rio ended in victory and applause, Cena was definitely the underdog of the night, with even WWE commentators speculating that he had “reemerged too early.”
But much to the delight of the entire Cenation — and to the dismay of del Rio, who craftily targeted Cena’s weaknesses throughout the nail-biting match — Cena emerge victorious, officially securing the title of World Heavyweight Champion.
Cena visited HollywoodLife.com‘s New York City offices earlier this month to give us an update on his condition:

WWE Hell in a Cell is upon us and, after all the build and fluff, this event should be bringing closure to the two Cell matches. Throughout WWE history, the Hell in a Cell match has been a finale match for many rivalries and the themed pay-per-view has also served as such for the past few years. The downside, however, is that WWE has limited its creativity with a Hell in a Cell pay-per-view taking place at the same time every year. It’s as if WWE has to produce multiple story ending matches to fit the pay-per-view rather than having the stories develop and finish organically.
With that being said, here are our predictions for the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

What's been going on: Less than a week remains before "Hell in a Cell" where the WWE Universe will finally have a champion. If so they would have you believe. Who's to say this title match will end any clearer than the others? Shawn Michaels is the special guest referee for the title match, between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton.
Other matches on the card include Cm Punk taking on Ryback and Paul Heyman inside of the Hell in a Cell, plus John Cena's return from injury, as he challenges for Alberto Del Rio's World Heavyweight Championship.
Then there's Triple H and the Big Show, two guys who can't wrestle in the storyline, taking up the main event. While the Rhodes brothers winning the Tag Team Championships should have been a big moment, it was overshadowed by Big Show stealing Daniel Bryan's "Yes" chants.

If you’ve been a wrestling fan for most of your life, and there are many out there you’ve seen many types of matches and many variations on the same themes of them. Whether you are a fan of the more extreme types of matches like barbed wire matches, exploding ring matches, electrified cages you know they can get pretty extreme. In the WWE there was a time when thy liked to think they were extreme, at some points they even managed this through the work of people like Mick Foley, and one of the most infamous ways the WWE and Foley did this was the “Hell in a Cell” match, which has now had it’s name used for one of the yearly pay per view events like this years Hell in a Cell 2012.
If I remember my history right, the first Hell in a Cell match was actually Shawn Michaels vs.

WWE Hell in a Cell 2012 results from the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
The YouTube pre-show kicks off with Michael Cole and John Cena in the ring talking about the Aj Lee controversy and Vickie Guerrero promising to bring evidence to Raw. In a boring and pointless segment, Cena answers the fans social media questions including Cena passing the torch to Ryback, his advice to Ryback for the match, if Cena thinks he can beat Ryback (he puts his name in the hat to be the first challenger if he wins) and says he wants another shot at The Rock.
Final tout message comes from Dolph Ziggler who wants to know the truth about what is going on. Cena asks him to come to the ring, so he does. Ziggler attempts to attack Cena but Cena sends him right back to the floor with a clothesline.

Tonight sees the third edition of WWE’s Hell in a Cell PPV, an event which whilst enticing in theory usually feels haphazard and rushed in execution. This is partly due to the nonsenical two week gap following on from the Night of Champions PPV and beause of the nature of the cell itself which historically has been used quite sparingly and only when heated rivalries have felt intense enough to warrant matches taking place in such an environment. With such an event set in stone however it diminishes both the shock factor of a sudden Hell in a Cell announcement and annoyingly means that such matches now must nearly all be booked to take place on the same night.
