The assembly cut of the film runs over 150 minutes, about an hour longer than the actual film.
The character T-Brow, played by Tombstone Stinton, was taken from the 2007 student-short "Karaoke Night," which was also written and directed by Jason Michael Brescia. In that film, T-Brow, played by Stinton, had dreadlocks and sang Billy Joel songs with his best friend Clark, played by Brescia.
The character Renato, played by Renato Fambro, was not in the shooting script for the film. What occurred was that Fambro responded to a Craigslist add to be an extra in a scene that was shot at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. Renato's positive attitude and college aged look caught the eye of director Jason Michael Brescia, and he invited Fabro back for the remainder of the shoot as Omega #10. Eventually Renato's role grew, while the scene Renato was an extra in eventually got cut from the movie.
The fictional Hamilton University, which is named after Alexander Hamilton, was founded in 1804; the year that Alexander Hamilton died in a duel against Aaron Burr.
Writer/Director, Jason Michael Brescia is actually a serious Alexander Hamilton scholar, with a college minor in Colonial American History, concentrating on the years of Hamilton's life.
