Getting Worse With Each Episode

Warning: Spoilers
Thinking that the series could not possibly be as bad as the first episode, I made the mistake of wasting an hour to watch Episode 5. Two events were investigated; the Paulding Light and ghostly movement of vehicles in Texas.

The Paulding Light would seem an excellent subject for investigation. It is a regular occurrence seen by thousands of people. The team's experiments; 1) a low flying aircraft, 2) auto lights on the nearby highway, 3) paranormal ghost questioning. Five minutes of searching on the internet would have eliminated the first two - the light was seen early in the century, before aircraft or automobiles were in use. So, since two possibilities (which were impossible) did not explain it, the team decided it was paranormal.

In Texas they investigated vehicles being "pushed" over railroad tracks. Cars in neutral would roll toward and over railroad tracks. The theory - ghost children were attempting to save the vehicle from being hit by a train. To their credit they did show that there was nothing paranormal about the situation. To their discredit, they took half of the episode to do what should have taken less than five minutes. In the summary they revealed that the supposed accident did not happen at this site, but rather in another state. So why did they bother with the search for ghostly fingerprints and testing different size vehicles? Then they did a "geographical survey" and got the answer. All that, when simply checking the road with a level would have answered the question (and which was the obvious answer from the moment they showed the actual location).

The point of this? Like every other reality show, lacking real content, they are creating situations to justify their efforts. It is very sad. There are videos which should be investigated and could provide something of interest. However, it apparently takes more effort and intelligence than is available in the cast and crew.
