Incredibly funny.

It's Valentine's Day, and Susan is receiving gifts, only they're not coming from Ben, but an admirer, Martin, a widower.

What a great name for an episode, such a clever play with words. One of the best for a while, it's a hilarious episode, I love that Ben and Susan are centre stage, Sam Kelly works wonderfully well in the mix. Martin is such a bonkers character, the story is so utterly outrageous, but it works incredibly well.

Loaded with funny moments, the Janey story is funny, but Ben's cutting remarks to Martin are a scream.

Loved it, 9/10.

Great stuff

I don't think whoever divided the episodes (made at the same time) into S10 and 11 did a good job, as S10 seems to have all the good ones.

This is a very funny episode of the show, in which Sam Kelly's guest character's pursuit of Susan leads to wonderfully played out chaos.

With Robert Lindsay and Zoe Wanamaker on top form, this episode demonstrates the show at its best.

three's also a slight but amusing subplot involving Janey and Michael,. and the benefit for the reduced cast in S10-11 (what with Alfie gone and Roger's part significantly reduced) is that the emphasis of the show was just on the core family and they had more to do.

A very good episode.
