Warning: Spoilers
Two hours in and the show is still fresh and raw and has me intrigued. I worry that they might not be able to keep our full attention for the series, but at this point I am not worried.

They had a jump moment with the masked figure appearing in the camera and they do a deep dive on all of the tech that appears throughout. They don't insult your intelligence in that regard.

This show is not going to be for everyone, but if you love murder mysteries and love slow build psychological thrillers with a dash of comedy thrown in, then this is the program for you. And that fits me like a glove so I'll be tuning in.

Phenomenal

All I can say is wow. This episode left me completely breathless. And cold. Stunning cinematography, and the performances by Emma Corrin, Harris Dickinson and Clive Owen were outstanding. Masterful world-building and I can not wait to see where this is going. I know there are some twists and turns ahead but I am already deeply invested in Darby and Bill's story, and fascinated by the dynamic of Andy and Lee. A little afraid of my phone now, to be honest...this is the critique of tech we need right now. Each line has layers of meaning, I already know I'm going to watch this one again to catch it all.

Kinda Dry...

Constructive Opinion: After The OA wasn't renewed for a third season in 2019, I was devastated. So, I can't tell you how badly I want this show to be successful. Brit Marling deserves it along with whoever helped her. However, there are a lot of drawn out scenes in this show that doesn't add to much to the character development or world building. I really hope it gets more interesting. Rooting for you Brit.

Non related. It feels like this movie pulls from a lot of different movies; for instance: Clue and Silence of the Lambs. A female led character who was inspired by her father to follow in his footsteps.

What a dissapointment

It's like Glass Onion, but without humor and sooo slowly paced.

Lackluster acting. Emma Corrin acts like a pale copy of Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs. Had really expected Clive Owen to shine as some kind of evil tech mastermind, but so far zero screen presence. Harris Dickinson does a decent job, though.

Ridiculously slow paced story telling. After 2 episodes, really no progress.

And so many implausible details. How can you be so stupid as to ask the AI butler questions without expecting its owner to listen in? And how can you strip the surveillance hardware apart without surveillance finding out?

The final nail in the coffin for me was the childish discussion of AI use in art. For gods sake, these people are supposed to be the most brilliant minds in the world.

Chapter 2: The Silver Doe
Prismark1010 December 2023
The second episode starts off with a death. It is Bill and Darby is distraught.

Of course she had a relationship with Bill. However she is also an ace crime blogger, been around crime scenes and dead bodies since she was a little girl.

Here Darby loses it. She gets easily brushed aside by Andy and his security team.

Also no other guests in the house becomes aware of something amiss until they are told of Bill's death.

It is not long before Darby becomes suspicious about the manner of Bill's death.

A Murder at the End of the World is trying hard to be hip. Instead he did come across as rather silly and it is only the second episode.
