Very enjoyable

This is a refreshing story and film in these days of mega movie stars and special effects which seem all too necessary for film fans to leave the theater with a feeling their money was well spent. Granted, Frederic doesn't tell a story as well as Clint Eastwood does but I felt the simplicity and honesty was nonetheless endearing. The connection to the characters (including Pale Male) was real and heartwarming. If you behave yourself, be polite to people and dedicate a portion of your time here on earth to helping others; then you're the type of person who realizes that when you look deep down we have so many things to be grateful for and this film is a welcome reminder of that.

IMO, I think as a society we have come to feel that people are so complicated. We are surrounded by (TV, radio, films) that display mostly the worst traits in people (liars, cheaters, criminals etc.) or display people capable of extraordinary feats. People are not as complicated as pop media may indicate; deep down people have a basic desire to help and assist those in need, even if "those" happen to be a hawk.

Helping others does bring joy to oneself, watching this film will have the same effect... and by all means bring a friend.

This is a fascinating story. I was the lone soldier at the 12:10 showing Downtown. People will flock to see this one once the word gets out. Just Awesome and Worthwhile !

Beautifully told story
stevenlkennedy2 September 2018
This documentary is well-told and inspiring story of a first-time filmmaker finding himself in the midst of an unfolding miracle of urban wildlife--majestic red-tailed hawks nesting in New York City for the first time in 100 years. The cinematography is captivating, the screenplay and score are masterful. You'll be charmed and alarmed and pulled straight into the lives of amazing hawks and quirky, endearing New Yorkers who fall in love with and ultimately rally around the hawks. A great family film.

A Must See

Wow! This movie never fails to fascinate me . It warms my heart to see this hawk, Palemale , live his life , soar over the skies of Central Park , hunt and provide for his love and kids . New York is a tough city to live in . But he was not alone . The human New Yorkers were there to support him . Thank you for giving us this movie . I urge you to watch this one .

Love letter to New York and all things wild
akatz-657952 September 2018
A love letter to a remarkable hawk and the New Yorkers who welcomed him to Walt Whitman's "proud and passionate city-mettlesome, mad ,extravagant city" Frederic captures the magic and eccentricity of what makes New York and New Yorkers a great story.
