The Horrors of War
Hitchcoc1 April 2019
We are introduced to a soldier who is obviously suffering from PTSD. He is hallucinating and hearing voices. He is recently back from Afghanistan where one of his buddies was killed. But there is something weird going on. Meanwhile, Harry is tricked by a reporter whom he thinks he is dating into saying, obtusely, that he is unhappy with the police in a high profile case.

An explosive, sad story.
Sleepin_Dragon14 March 2020
A soldier returns from Afghanistan clearly suffering from PTSD, at a training exercise he loses control and clashes with a Soldier, he's later found dead, seemingly taking his own life.

It's a hugely memorable episode, very relevant to the time it was made. It shows the true horror of war, and the impact it had on the returning Soldiers.

The opening is intense and dramatic, some of the scenes will hit home for many. The side story of Harry facing investigation adds a lot, as does DI Harte, Michelle Fairley is fantastic, such a presence.

Some of the scenes on the operating table are a bit gruesome, so I would advise not eating your food whilst watching this.

Kieran Bew is wonderful as Lieutenant Lockford, totally believable.

9/10.
