Kanye's mother was so important in his life and really set the tone for part one of the film.
Kanye was a nerd and truly wasn't considered anything huge in the industry at the time. But he kept working and hustling to make his Dream come true.
It's absolutely amazing how he didn't give up despite friends turning on him and not really getting the appreciation for his work.
He kept grinding to make it a art form, even going on interviews and doing concerts for little money just to gain some publicity.
For the style of the film, Director coodie & Chika did absolutely amazing job. Not just for the spirit of the film, but the overall message, it's not the average documentary.
Not saying that's a bad or good thing, but it will definitely make people become fans of Kanye West despite the drama in today's media.
In my opinion, the documentary shows that he never really changed from who he was. He didn't change, it was the people around him who did.
