Can't wait for season 4!

Warning: Spoilers
I wasn't previously a fan of Ahsoka but she really grew on me during this season. I actually started to worry that she was going to get killed during this episode cause those reptile baddies were pretty tough. It was great to see Chewy put in an appearance and his wookie buddies were pretty impressive also. I'm totally hooked on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and it's good that they don't tone down the violence and darker scenes too much. Long may it continue. I'm not too sure what else there is to cover storyline wise so I hope it doesn't get repetitive before the end. It's amazing how quickly Anakin seems to go from how he is in Star Wars: The Clone Wars to how he ends up as Darth Vader. I guess that's the power of the dark side!

I won't spoil the surprise for those who don't know but we get some really good stuff in this episode in terms of bringing in characters to the story.

The episode has the great Clone Wars mix of darkness and fun with good action and great animation.

Ahsoka comtinues to shine and the villains are excellent.

A high quality conclusion to a fantastic season of the show.

My rating: 9/10.

Wookiee Hunt

And it's the return of Chewbacca, that we've all been waiting for. No, not that we'd really been waiting for it, but it was definitely a nice revisit. His inclusion fit perfectly into the idea of the premise, and his skills were complimentary to the more evolved Chewie we see in the films. This arc was really an arc to show how far Ahsoka had come in her training, and it gives some great hints at to what she will become in the future, so while this arc originally seemed like filler (and maybe still is) it also gives a lot of great development to Ahsoka. If there's anything with this episode that I didn't enjoy, it's the fact that the Trandoshan's seemed a lot less threatening in this episode, which might because the hunting aspects was sorta removed. Other than that, this was a killer episode.

Blunts its potential

Warning: Spoilers
This episode continues to feature suspense where most of the episodes don't. That alone makes this episode better than other "filler" episodes. That being said, we don't get much in the way of character development or engaging fight scenes.

Every fight feels languid- like the characters are all taking turns performing their actions. There is a lot of repetition in the fights too. Most exchanges between the Trandoshans and the prisoners consist of the Trandoshan trying to shoot at someone or punching them and the Jedi force pushing them back. The final fight feels perfunctory, although the initial attack against the prisoner transport ship was exciting due to the characters having to navigate it as it hurdled towards the ground.

As a final episode of the season, this feels very much like filler. We do end on a note of Anakin coming across more vulnerable and more fatherly than perhaps we have ever seen him before. It's a nice little moment.
