- "Warehouse 13" - "Buried" -Sept. 14, 2010
At Leena's, Pete (Eddie McClintock) serves Kelly breakfast with a flourish on a silver platter. It's a single banana. She says she would've served him breakfast in bed if they were at her house. She makes an offer to have him move in. Pete says Artie (Saul Rubinek) likes to have all his agents under one roof in case there's an "IRS" emergency.
Later at the Warehouse he asks for advice from Claudia (Allison Scagliotti), H.G (Jaime Murray), and Myka (Joanne Kelly). Myka asks if he loves her. He says "yeah, I think so, I don't know." They agree he's in love. As does Mrs. Frederic (CCH Pounder) who shows up out of nowhere, as usual. He blathers on until Mrs. F says Pete is allowed to reveal the true nature of their work to one person. So the question isn't whether he should move in with her, but is she his "one."
We cut to a group of young men in Egypt. One sends a text message pic of himself to his little sister (Zoe Fraser) over the protests of his friends who say no one's supposed to know they're there. One of the three guys starts coughing uncontrollably and starts drinking water saying he's very dry. Suddenly he dries into a mummy type figure. Then another does the same. The third also does. As this happens, Mrs. F suddenly vibrates and collapses. Pete catches her and calls the others and Artie in. Suddenly Mrs. F starts saying "moopookissfit." She comes to and they try to figure out what the phrase means. H.G knows it's Egyptian. Claudia translates via computer as "the penalty is death." While they look for a responsible artifact they get an alert from the State Dept. about the three dead students.
Pete and Myka go to visit the parents of one of the boys who didn't know he was in Egypt. She's confused and obviously upset. Myka promises they'll find out what happened to the boys. Meanwhile, H.G. goes to see the boy's little sister, the one he sent the photo to. She chats with her and asks to look at her computer and sees her brother's photo. She calls Myka over. Myka Farnsworths with Artie, Claudia, and Mrs. F and shows them the photo. Artie and Mrs. F seem to know what the images behind the boy means. They talk about needing to go the ancient archives ann Mrs. F vibrates again.
The ancient archives are in a pyramid in the middle of the Warehouse. Artie finds a match for the hieroglyphics behind the boy. Apparently he and his friends found an "oasis" aka Warehouse 2, the lost warehouse which was buried in haste back in the day. The boys somehow stumbled upon a seal of some kind, broke it, activated the defense mechanisms - thus their dessication- and brought the Warehouse back online. Myka wonders why it's affecting Mrs.F. She says when the Warehouse woke up it looked for it's caretaker, who is of course dead, so it located the current caretaker Mrs. F. So she's now being "shared" which is not so good for her health. It will kill her eventually with an overload and as Warehouse 2 takes her over, Warehouse 13 will start to die.
Pete, Myka, and H.G. head off to Egypt. They bump into Benedict Valda (Mark Sheppard), he's the expert on Warehouse 2.
They go to the desert to Warehouse 2. The boys had set up a camp and were clearly planning to come back. They had some kind of plans. Valda explains the Warehouse had several security systems tied to the phras "mind body soul." The old agents knew the traps and how to navigate them, the four of them will just have to figure it out, Indiana Jones style. Once they're at the center, they can shut it down with an ancient key Valda wears around his neck.
Pete calls Kelly and leaves a message and metaphors he's about to go into a "tough meeting". In case anything happens, he wanted to let her know what he thinks about living together.. and then the message cuts him off.
Artie hooks Mrs. F up to a crazy neuro-gizmo keeping track of changes in her brain. She vibrates some more.
The Egyptian quartet disables the booby trap on the entrance and heads in to Warehouse 2. It's stunning inside and then the door closes behind them. The ceiling starts to close in. They try to figure out the "mind-body-soul" clues to help them disable the security systems. The first is a mind puzzle with posts that need to be moved in a certain order so the ceiling won't crush them. Pete figures this one out. He's very happy with himself.
As they do this, Mrs. F starts speaking more Egybberish, which Claudia translates as "one must die."
Another door open,s and it's on to the next test. Razor sharp flyers and fire come up from the floor in a hallway they have to traverse. This is the body puzzle.
Vanessa (Lindsay Wagner), i.e. Dr. Calder, returns to the Warehouse to help with Mrs. F.
H.G. takes several steps up, shoots the grappler down the hall and sets up a zip line to fly across the obstacles. She goes first and it works. Myka gets across as well. Valda throws the ancient key to Pete and says the "waterbearer holds the key." He has read the "one must die" translation and sacrifices himself saying this is as it must be. He falls into the fire to the horror of the remaining Egyptian 3. They wonder if they can do this without him. They realize they have to. The Farnsworth isn't working. Another door opens. Pete is shaken and grips the key.
At the Warehouse Mrs. F comes to, glad to see Vanessa. Her neuro functions are dropping. Claudia tries to call the team, but the Farnsworth doesn't work on their end either. Artie leaves to check on something. In more Eygbberish, she says "where once there were four now there are three and two will lose their way."
Back in Warehouse 2, the trio comes to a big face and suddenly H.G. hears the voice of her daughter, Pete hears Kelly. H.G. is transported back to the past and her daughter. Pete is transported to Kelly's bedroom. Myka hears a voice and is transported to the Warehouse where Artie gives her a coffee. They're all very peaceful scenes. H.G. hugs her daughter. Myka enjoys her coffee and getting her next case from Artie. Pete tells Kelly she's the "one" and tells her his secret. The eyes on the big wall face, glow red as the three figures seem frozen. The ground begins to crack beneath them as they are transfixed. Myka is the only one who notices a glowing red exit sign in her vision. Things glow red in H.G. and Pete's visions but they ignore them. Myka breaks away from her vision, realizing it's not real. She comes back to the disintegrating floor and tries to rouse Pete and H.G. Myka realizes this is the soul test, it took them to their happiest places so they wouldn't notice the floor disintegrating. Myka realizes the head on the wall is Medusa. She busts out the eyes and the floor returns to solidity. Pete tells Myka that Kelly is the one. H.G. sobs over losing her daughter again. The Medusa head moves aside and they push on.
At Warehouse 13, Mrs. F comes to and tells Vanessa she must be prepared to do what she has to. They explain to Claudia if Mrs. F dies, the Warehouse will begin to shut down. So they have to create a bond with the Warehouse with a new caretaker at the moment Mrs. F dies. And that caretaker is... yup, Claudia. She says she's not ready for that. Vanessa says she will be when the time comes. Although Pete and Myka could shut down Warehouse 2, time is short for Mrs. F.
At Warehouse 2, they reach the center and find an ancient Artie-style office and tons of old artifacts. There is a distant ball of electrical energy which is probably the culprit of Mrs. F's difficulties. Pete and Myka look around the office while H.G. investigates the Warehouse itself. Pete thinks the key Valda gave him might fit into one of the holes showing light through a wall.
Mrs. F is back to Egybberish. Vanessa ties a ribbon to Mrs. F's wrist and then to Claudia's.
Pete sees a pattern in the holes. It's the night sky. He finds the "waterbearer" and sticks the key in, effectively shutting down the electrical orb. Mrs. F wakes up and says "wait" and realizes they shut down Warehouse 2. Pete and Myka hug and he points out he solved two of the puzzles.
H.G. calls to Myka from the Warehouse 2 floor.
Claudia apologizes to Vanessa about being resistant to being the caretaker. Vanessa understands and that Claudia will be ready when the time comes.
Mrs. F goes on Claudia's computer and wonders what she was doing while she was out. Claudia was doing an investigation on the boys who were mummified. She figured it must've cost a chunk of change to do such a huge archaeological dig and the kids weren't rich so they were probably being bankrolled by somebody with an interest in Warehouse 2. Mrs. F is impressed and says Claudia got a ping. It turns out the money the boys used came from Warehouse 13! They wonder where Artie got off to. He said he'd be right back but that was hours ago.
Pete and Myka catch up with H.G. She says she hopes they can forgive her. They ask for what. This, she says as she turns around and zaps them with the Tesla.
