- Jake and Sammy are painting parts of the house outside, Molly is washing dishes, and Rosalie is sweeping the floor as the family is awaiting Uncle David's return from an auction house. They laugh at and recall some of his previous purchases. Uncle David returns with the news that he has bought a pool table, even though he doesn't know how to play pool. Since none of Uncle David's friends or family members know how to play, he decides to visit The Friendly Nook on Apple Street, which is the local pool hall. Uncle David invites several of the players to teach him how to play in the Goldberg's basement. Molly makes sandwiches, coffee, and snick snacks for them until Jake discovers they're placing bets using the phone in their living room. Jake becomes infuriated, and he demands they all leave. Uncle David is upset that Jake has thrown his teachers and companions out, and he feels that it isn't his house but Jake's. Uncle David returns to the pool hall to apologize for Jake's behavior. Meanwhile, the Goldbergs receive a phone call informing them that Uncle David has been arrested. The judge criticizes Uncle David as the oldest juvenile delinquent he's ever seen.
