Trivia
The characters Ralph Holinshed and Sarah Siddons are based on real people. Raphael Holinshed, a sixteenth century author, wrote "Chronicles", from which Shakespeare took the plots of many of his plays. Sarah Siddons (no relation to the modern-day one) was a late eighteenth-century stage actress whose career lasted into the nineteenth century, and who gained fame as a great Lady Macbeth.
