There was a glimpse of hope for this film during the first 5-7 minutes. However that was where the laughter stopped. It seemed that the director tried to get too many laughs out of the same "joke", I'm sorry, but we all know why the chicken crossed the road. It was 100 minutes long, but could have easily been 20 minutes if you leave all the useless fluff on the cutting room floor. There is no rush at all from this film and it would match your heartbeat...if you were dead. The ending, though not predictable, seemed like a last attempt to be artfully clever, fail. The dry characters let you leave with no attachment to any at all, in fact, most were the same. As for the filming, the shots were uniform, no cuts to keep even your eyes entertained, well except for the pan to the naked hookers which seem to serve no other purpose than to try to be "edgy" by showing breasts. The dialogue was not deep enough to be as long as it was, very repetitive. If you love unneeded and overused mariachi bands, then this movie is for you! Funny once, not funny 8 times. I have read that this movie was done mostly without a script, which makes sense to me now. I wish the director good luck in the future, don't give up!
