• [Lancelot saves Guinevere, and they escape] 

  Merlin : Lancelot always saved everything to the last moment. But then, my memory of Lancelot is that he never got anything right.

• [Lancelot's wife learns of his affair with Guinevere and commits suicide] 

  Merlin : [after yelling at Lancelot]  I judged Lancelot too harshly. The blame was on me, too. After all, I had chosen Lancelot.

• Queen Mab : Mordred's dead.

  Merlin : So we both have nothing left to lose.

• Merlin : [to Mab]  Go join your sister in the lake.

  [walks off] 

• Merlin : You lied to me!

  Lady of the Lake : I didn't lie, Merlin. I said the guardian of Camelot would be at Astolat.

  Merlin : That's where I found Lancelot!... It wasn't Lancelot, was it?

  Lady of the Lake : It was the boy, Galahad. It's human to make mistakes, Merlin, and part of you is human... the best part.

• Merlin : I was Arthur's tutor. I didn't teach him magic. I taught him ethics and morals. It is much more difficult, believe me.

• Merlin : I couldn't stay away for long. Arthur was more to me than just a king. And I was curious to see what was going on.

• King Arthur Pendragon : [about Guinevere and Lancelot]  Merlin, what should I do?

  Merlin : In the end, you must uphold the law.

• Nimue : You've grown older.

  Merlin : [chuckles]  You too.

  Nimue : Does it even matter?

  Merlin : No. Not any more.

• Queen Mab : [after Mab and Frick had just appeared out of the closed door]  We thought we would come in the traditional way, through the door.

  Merlin : It's traditional to open it first.

• Queen Mab : I'm glad to see you haven't lost all the skills I taught you...

  Merlin : I've lost none of them. And it was Frik who taught me!
