- In order to obtain a U certificate from the censors, the makers had to extend the duration of a smoking/drinking disclaimer, tone down some strong violence, remove some objectionable words and replace cleavage exposure in a song with other approved shots.
- The Telugu version, 7th Sense, received 2 cuts before being granted a U certificate. One usage of profanity and a gory shot were removed.
- In Singapore, the film received NC-16 rating, before it was edited to receive a PG-13 rating. Both versions were made available on DVD, with the edited version running at 159 minutes (2 minutes shorter than the uncut version).
- All the television airings omit the intermission card.
- In Sri Lanka, many Pro-Tamil dialogues were censored.
