Forgettable "making-of"
VinnieRattolle7 September 2015
Like the earlier making-of "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4," this syndicated TV special features a variety of clips from all of the Nightmare films, redundant interviews with star Robert Englund and producer/director Rachel Talalay, and glimpses behind-the-scenes on the set of the film. Unlike the earlier special there's very little "making of" in this one. Shon Greenblatt (John) and Peter Spellos (Tracy's Dad) are the only other cast members to give (brief) interviews, there are a few fleeting moments of Breckin Meyer being bounced around on mechanical rigs, Greenblatt falling into a net, and of course the 3-D rig for the film's silly climax. Generally speaking, it's just a clip-show punctuated with endless droning from Englund about the character and franchise. On one hand, it's disappointing that this wasn't included as a DVD/Blu-Ray extra. On the other, it's a thoroughly bland and forgettable bit of promotion which has little to add to the wealth of Elm Street info that's widely available.

Wonderful movie Warning: Spoilers
This is a wonderful movie. Freddy is killed supposedly for good in it by being taken out of a dream and blown up. It is also revealed in it that Freddy obtained his powers from dream demons.
