Way back in 1977, Sebastiano "Uncle Silly" Risa stumbled upon a long-abandoned, two-lane bowling alley in Albuquerque, and "Duke City Comedy League" was born! An instant hit, New Mexicans flocked to the club to see The Land of Enchantment's favorite and funniest comics perform. Sounds of rapturous laughter echoed throughout the Rio Grande valley, and the people were happy. But following Uncle Silly's untimely death in 2003 due to being bitten repeatedly by a roving pack of rabid, mirth-hating prairie dogs, the club sat empty and silent, like a tomb, laugh-less. It was the Dark Ages of Humor for the Duke City. Then, having lost a family bet, Uncle Silly's favorite niece, Goldie Garcia, re-opened "Duke City Comedy League" on New Year's Day, 2010, hoping to restore the club's legendary reputation for hosting the funniest of New Mexico's stand-up comics. Once again, laughter pealed from the hall where once bowling balls rolled, and happiness was restored to the people of the great State of New Mexico. YAY!!!

It's a New Year, and a huge night of laughs! "Duke City Comedy League"'s Comedy Man has hand-picked highlights from all of the comedians who have performed on the series during 2010. Comedy Man is so excited by this bundle of yuks that he cavorts around Albuquerque's Old Town. Santa Claus may bring the toys, but Comedy Man brings the laughs!
