Jill Halfpenny is the narrator of Hotel Benidorm, and this is kind of a realistic spin on Benidorm, British sitcom. Here it's the British that is operative here, as Benidorm, located in Spain, is kind of equivalent to Cancun where the young ones here like to flock to during summer break. The focus is on the Rio Park Hotel and the reception and other staff. I would like to have known how the staff relax during their down-time, e.g. Do they take holidays in the United Kingdom in an ironic way I guess.
Here the British (or English, Welsh, Northern Irish) tourists are taken care of with full english breakfasts and lager on tap. Interestingly, the UK tourists are pretty much the same hue, with no-one from Indian background considering the prime minister, home secretary and foreign secretary are all of a different hue.
Here the hotel engages in halloween celebrations, along with serious plumbing problems and a dishwasher that doesn't work.
