- Hannah dreams about making love to Ben, Poppy yelling at her, Ben's mom warning her she'll break his heart. She wants it all to stop. She wakes up.
Belle tells us there are some work opportunities that simply must be explored. She meets Tom and follows him into his office. He raves about her book and wants to buy the rights. He tells her they have a starlet in mind and a director, Leon "a huge name on the circuit."
He wants to fly Belle out to New York tonight to meet the director and star. She says she couldn't possibly go at the moment, she has too many "responsibilities."
Back home, Ben and Poppy are both gone. She takes advantage of the alone time to rock out and "think about the offer" -- dancing around her dining room. Poppy interrupts her. She wants to visit her mom in jail and wants Belle to come. Belle explains she has to get ready for a client. She calls Charlotte to swap clients, explaining in the back of the cab, that she won't be in there long, the client's a quickie. Poppy hears and asks if she charges more for "the gross stuff." Belle's phone won't stop ringing. They pull up to the jail.
Inside, Stephanie says she was going to tell Poppy when she thought she "could handle it." Stephanie blames Belle for letting the cat out of the bag. Belle points out that she didn't ask to have Poppy live with her. "She's just become one more thing that I don't need," Belle says. When they both start to gang up on her, she tells them it's not her problem and leaves.
Stephanie says everything she's ever done has been for Poppy. Poppy reminds her she's in prison. She tells her mom she never wants to see her ever again.
Outside, Belle is on the phone dealing with a needy escort. Poppy takes her taxi and drives of with Belle's purse, leaving her standing outside a prison with a phone about to run out of juice.
Poppy cries the whole way home in the cab. She rifles through Belle's purse and finds her make-up bag. She gets doled up, with bright red lipstick.
At home, Hannah comes home to find Ben making Moroccan food. She's haggard and looks like hell. She walked home.
Ben reminds her Poppy just found out her mom's a prostitute and that's not normal for everyone. Hannah tells Ben she has "commitments" and has to leave. She gets cleaned up and waits for her client in a hotel room, with champagne poured.
She opens the door for a man in a suit, who kisses her hand and gives her an envelope. He's one of Charlotte's regulars.
He goes to change in the bathroom. "Is it terrible this is where I feel most relaxed?" she asks us.
The client announces he's ready to come out. Belle goes in and finds him sitting in a diaper, sucking a pacifier. She calls Charlotte and yells at her for not warning her. Charlotte advises her to just treat him like a baby.
She gets a bottle from room service, feeds it to him, burps him and plays hide and go seek. He finds her purse and dumps out the contents. Belle gets a text from Tom asking if she's made a decision about the New York trip. The client splashes her in the tub. She checks in with Tom and he says there's a ticket with her name on it at the airport.
She sings lullabies to the client in bed. She falls asleep. When she wakes up he's dressed and a grown-up again. He tells her it's his favorite hour of the week, when no one wants a piece of him and he doesn't have to be a boss, husband and father. Belle understands needing to do something just for you.
Poppy makes eyes at a cute boy in a bar, does shots with him and comes on to him.
Hannah comes home to find Ben watching TV. She hears Poppy having sex upstairs and goes to interrupt.
Ben follows her, suggesting they go out for the night, but Hannah's mad at him for not stopping Poppy.
She walks in to find Poppy on top of the boy. Poppy tells him not to worry about Belle, she just "some sad old hooker." Belle throws the guy out and tells Poppy she can't just have sex with random strangers. "Why? That's what you do!" Poppy cries.
Hannah asks Ben what he was thinking letting 19 year old Poppy bring a guy home. She says Poppy is their responsibility, but he points she's it's hers. He reminds her that not everyone can take the lifestyle in stride, including the constant insecurity and lies. "When you think about it, this is a pretty f----- up situation," he says. "Well maybe you shouldn't have moved in with me and my f---- up situation," Hannah says. He storms off. Hannah cries.
Ben stands on the street and tries to pull himself together as Hannah packs a bag.
Ben comes home and finds Poppy sulking on the couch and a note from Hannah. He reads it and lets it fall on the floor.
At the airport, Hannah heads for her flight.
