Kellie Martin just might be one of Hollywood’s most down-to-earth moms.
The 35-year-old — best known for her work in Life Goes On and ER — has quietly raised 4-year-old daughter Margaret Heather somewhat out of the spotlight, with the help of husband Keith Christian.
But the actress is once again taking center stage, appearing Saturday night at 9 p.m. Et in the made-for-tv movie, Smooch, and working on her latest project, a children’s lifestyle company called Entertaining Elephants.
We recently spoke to Martin about her busy work life — and Maggie’s latest milestones.
What is Maggie up to these days?...

Finally, some proper modern fairytale programming to let the kids watch: Hallmark's "Smooch" is an adorable family movie that has a great cast, and chronicles the imagination of one sharp little girl who brightens the life of her widowed mother. "Smooch" is a Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere, Saturday, February 5 (9 p.m. Et/Pt, 8C). Zoe (Kiernan Shipka) a young girl with a wild imagination and enthusiasm for fairy tales, is shocked when she thinks she has turned her science lab frog into a prince with a simple kiss, never realizing the prince, Percy Summerland (Simon Kassianides) is actually the missing arrogant, spoiled son of a Duke and Duchess who is suffering from a case of amnesia.

HollywoodNews.com: Good afternoon all.
I’ve been busy at the TV Critics Association Winter Press Tour all day so blogging has been a bit slow.
Luke Perry and Jason Priestley were just here chatting up a western they made for Hallmark called ‘Goodnight for Justice.’
Earlier today, Billy Campbell of ‘Once and Again’ and ‘Tales of the City’ fame was promoting the AMC series ‘The Killing’ and Kellie Martin, who we all loved in ‘Life Goes On,’ ‘Christy’ and ‘ER,’ was part of a panel for the Hallmark movie ‘Smooch’ directed by the talented Ron Oliver.
Still to come this afternoon are the stars of ‘Spartacus: Gods of the Arena,’ ‘Torchwood: The Real World’ and ‘Camelot’ (including Joseph Fiennes!). Here to talk about the HBO movie ‘Cinema Verite’ will be Diane Lane, Tim Robbins and James Gandolfini.
