Rodney Maitland has to sit and listen to the painful evidence of Gail Holt-Matthews and her mother Verity. Gail explains that her father is quite controlling, Mrs Holt-Matthews confirms this to The Court.
It does make for quite uncomfortable viewing, but this was a very tense, emotion packed continuation of the story.
Lots of evidence comes out, almost accidentally, it does change things somewhat, once again I had formed quite strong ideas of what I thought was going on in episode two.
It's so well acted once again, how lovely to see Doreen Mantle here, best known for playing the bane of Victor Meldrew's life, Mrs Warboys, what a lovely actress.
I love how natural it all feels, even the extras seem to be taking it very seriously.
Did the father do it or not, it's intriguing, we will learn the outcome very soon.
8/10.
