- GoofsAt the beginning of the episode, the M.E.'s estimate for TOD of the victim was stated as between 8:30-9:00 P.M. Later in the episode, about half-way through, Van Pelt brings Lisbon information about a fight between the victim and someone else at "approximately 6:30." Lisbon responds with, "that puts her in the arena an hour before the M.E.'s estimate." There is an hour discrepancy.
- Quotes
Patrick Jane: Either you are a genius manipulator concealing your complicity in the case or you're a... dimly lit clown. Which is it?
[Jane leaves.]
Rowdy Merriman: Come back over here!
Patrick Jane: [as he's passing a security guard] You were right big man.
Rowdy Merriman: [Chasing after Jane] Say that again you son of a bitch! Why don't you come back here and see what running your mouth gonna getcha.

The Journalist, The Manager and the Fighters
When the journalist Charlotte Mitchell, who is writing a book about fighting, is found shot inside a locker, Lisbon and Patrick Jane assume the case. They visit Charlotte's father, who has a heart attack. The prime suspects are the manager Leonard 'Len' Artash and the fighters Manny Flaco and Rowdy Merriman. Meanwhile J. J. LaRoche now turns his investigation to Rigsby, who has a secret and needs the help of Cho.
"Bloodsport" is another episode of "The Mentalist", where the storyline segment of J. J. LaRoche is the best parto of the show. The poor Rigsby and the attitude of Cho are great. My vote is eight.
