Great Show With Hal Linden

There is no Q&A.

There is a very funny Funt and Mundane sketch. They have to perform in a huge outdoor venue with 25.000 in the audience. They try to speak up so everyone can hear. Funniest scene is the end when a wind storm comes in.

Hal Linden (at the time starring in "Barney Miller") sings a very good version of "I Won't Last A Day Without You" while sitting in an easy chair.

Carol comes out and Linden tells her he would like to let the audience ask him questions like they do with her. They don't get a chance since Carol tells his whole life story.

Tim plays his old man character as the captain of a ship. Harvey is first mate. They have to avert an iceberg. Tim ends up on the ship's wheel spinning around on it.

There is one of the longest and best musical spoofs "Riverboat", a takeoff on "Show Boat". The songs are all direct parodies of the songs in the original. Carol sings a funny one of "Can't Help Lovin' That Man" substituting "bum" for "man". Tim does a hilarious "Old Mister Sippi" done in "Old Man River" style.

The show must have run very long since Carol doesn't even sing her theme song, but we see Linden sign her book.
