Terrible idea, terrible execution, but it could have been worse. The producers have at least followed through on the storyline they set up and sent Steph to jail for killing someone out of carelessness and selfishness. Her sentence is harsh but not unreasonable. And yet it's presented as the greatest tragedy in the history of mankind. And although she's held accountable, she's not really held accountable enough:Nothing is made of the fact that she pleaded not guilty or that the Ramsay Street residents have been going to any lengths, legal or otherwise, to try and get her off.The judge basically says "You're a really nice person but I'm sending you to jail anyway."
While the previous episode faltered because of a lack of incident, this one falters because we have to sit through more of the interminable Andrew/Summer/Natasha love triangle, a love triangle where they all deserve to end up alone. And Lyn preaching from the moral high ground normally reserved for the mothers of drivers who cause fatal accidents about how terrible the Robinsons are.
