Valerie Harper's Only Time On The Show

The Q&A has Carol buying some cookies from 3 Girl Scouts in the audience. Carol tells us Harper and Tim Conway are the guests. This is one of Season 6's best episodes.

A hilarious Funt and Mundane sketch. It seems Mundane cannot perform and her understudy is Carol in her Charo impression. Many funny scenes as goes wild during what is supposed to be a sad play.

Carol introduces Valerie and she sings the Helen Reddy song "The Last Blues Song".

The next sketch is about blind dates. Valerie brings her friend Carol, doing her character with glasses and sinus problems. Harvey is Valerie's date and Tim plays his nervous friend.

A great sketch has Tim as the old man who is a fireman called to a fire at Harvey's house. Funniest scene is when Harvey needs mouth to mouth resuscitation. Harvey has his mouth open and explodes into laughter.

Carol, Vicki and Valerie play housewives at a restaurant. Carol sings the Stephen Sondheim song "Ladies Who Lunch".

A very funny As The Stomach Turns is next. Lyle plays a man who is afraid of women, Marion wants to help him. Vicki plays Rhonda Blabbit, a take off on gossip columnist Rona Barrett. Valerie plays the town naughty lady. Harvey shows up at the end as Mother Marcus.

There is a musical number about the good ol' bad ol' days with the whole cast and guests with the Ernie Flatt dancers.

Carol sings her theme song and the guests sign her book.
