- After an emotional visit from home, one alliance is faced with a difficult decision to secure their own fate in the game.
- Previously on...: Since Day 1, Chase has been indecisive. He aligned with Shannon, then voted him out. He had a crush on Brenda, then voted her out. NaOnka gave him her immunity idol and then quit. But, on Day 30, Chase joined a small movement to vote out Fabio and flipped at the last minute to vote out Benry.
Sash pulls Fabio aside and tells him he's got his back. Sash tells us that Fabio knows Sash is controlling the game. He says that as long as Fabio doesn't win immunity he's going to be the next to leave. Fabio tells us he's not as dumb and gullible as everyone thinks he is, and they're about to find out.
Day 33: Tree Mail includes a cell phone that has videos from home. Chase casually mentions to us that "something as simple as a Sprint cell phone can bring you to tears." Aww, thanks Sprint!
Everyone gets emotional, but then it's time to strategize. Fabio and Chase say the two of them will take Sash if they win reward.
Reward challenge: The winner of the challenge will sail down the Nicaraguan coast and enjoy a meal with their loved ones. Chase's mom shows up, followed by Fabio's mom and Sash's mom. Dan's son, Jane's daughter and Holly's husband came out next. The loved ones will participate by using puzzles pieces to spell out the phrase "Family Comes First."
Fabio, Chase and Sash get their puzzle pieces first. Dan struggles to collect his pieces. Chase's mom Connie is the first to finish and Chase is given the choice to pick one more person. He picks Sash, telling everyone he loves them all. Jeff then tells Chase to pick one more. He says he knows he'll hurt some feelings, but he picks Holly and her husband. Dan is upset, telling his son that Chase "is a scumbag." Fabio cries, as well, and tearfully tells Chase he would have taken him because he knows how much Chase's mom means to him.
Back at camp: Fabio and Dan are still upset and Dan says Chase thinks their "useful life to him is over." Fabio talks about how disappointed he was in Chase's decision, and says they talked that day about it. Jane hears all this but says nothing. Jane finally pipes up, saying she wanted some quality time with her daughter who is going off to college. She cries and says Chase made "a million dollar decision" and she realizes she's "the fourth person in a four-person alliance, and that worries me."
The reward: Holly, Sash and Chase enjoy their food and Chase makes a toast to the "final three right here," and adds, "You all know I just lost Fabio." After the two idols are accounted for (Chase reminds us and the loved ones that he and Sash are holding idols), Holly explains the alliance to Chase's mom, saying they have a fourth person in their alliance, Jane.
As they say their goodbyes, Chase realizes he has to "go back to camp and face the wrath."
The reward winners get back in the middle of the night and Fabio asks Chase, "How was it, buddy?" Chase says it was great and Fabio informs him it was a rhetorical question. Fabio makes it clear he's upset. Fabio then tells us he has to get over it and try to win immunity.
Immunity challenge: Each player will be blindfolded and make their way through a course to memorize the symbols' positions and shapes on a shield using only their sense of touch. When they return, still blindfolded, they have to put their symbol pieces in the right places on their own shield.
Fabio gets out to an early lead. Holly gets back and drops a bag. She can't find it, until she does moments later. It comes down to Fabio and Chase. Fabio guesses wrong once and Chase gets close to finishing, but Fabio corrects his one wrong piece quickly to win immunity.
Back at camp: Sash says Fabio's win was the only thing that could have screwed up his crew's strategy. Chase tells Fabio that "Dan's done." Fabio suggests voting Jane out and then Dan next time. He tells Chase he has to think and overcome his resistance to voting Jane out.
Chase talks to Sash about how risky it would be to send Jane home. Holly walks up and they talk further about sending Jane home. Sash says that if she makes it through, she could win the $1 million. Chase tells us he's not sure. Jane walks up and asks Holly if they're "still four people." Holly says "someone has to go tonight," and Jane wonders if Dan is going to go. Jane realizes no one is saying anything and she gives Chase a look. She asks, "So, is it me?"
Sash tells her they think she could beat them for the $1 million. She flips him off. She cries and tells us her alliance are flippers, cheats and backstabbers. She also says Chase shouldn't even show his face back in North Carolina. Sash tries to console Jane back at camp and she tells him to leave her alone. She tells us she's got some time to think about it and she's not going to give up, "but the wrath of Jane is coming out tonight."
She takes a bucket full of water and puts out the fire, saying, "By God, I started, I'll put it out."
Tribal Council: Jeff asks if it was "somewhat of a crazy afternoon," and Dan announces that Jane threw a bucket of water on the fire. Jane says there's "no loyalty in tonight's vote, it's full of liars and backstabbers." She decides to call some people out on some stuff. She calls out Holly for stealing Dan's shoes. She says she's upset she made an alliance with a bunch of liars.
Chase comes clean to Jeff about how Jane was part of a four-person alliance but they told her it was in their best interest to vote her off. Jeff asks Chase and the "alliance of three who seem to be in charge" about who will go next if Jane is voted off. Chase says it'd be either Dan or Fabio, depending on who doesn't win immunity. Chase asks Sash and Holly if they agree. They hesitate, but eventually agree. Jeff is stunned, calling it "a ballsy, big move."
Jeff then asks the obvious question, "Why don't (Dan, Fabio and Jane) have their own alliance?" None of them says anything. Jane tells Jeff that she, Dan and Fabio should vote Holly out because Sash and Chase have idols. Jeff reminds them this is the last night they can use the idols.
Holly says she's nervous. Jeff notices the look on Chase's face is "utter confusion" and Chase admits, "I don't know what the hell is going on now, actually."
The vote: Jeff asks for hidden immunity idols if they have them, and Chase and Sash both turn theirs in.
Jeff reads the votes: Jane, Jane, Jane, and the 13th person voted out is Jane.
Jane's last words: "You find out really fast what people's true colors are out here. Sash is a big-ass liar. Holly, I lost total respect for her. And there's Chase, my old buddy in crime, who I'm just very disappointed in because he always promised he'd take me to the end."
