Elgar's Enigma follows the composer's life-long connection to his first love, Helen Weaver, who left him for a new life in New Zealand. Told through a a subtle weave of interview, archive, ephemera and re-enactment, the documentary links Elgar's first, and last, major works to Helen herself and to her son, Kenneth, who was killed in WW1.—Anonymous
