- Marquis goes to the abandoned amusement park and remembers Joker driving the school bus when he was a child. Breaking into the Hall of Mirrors, Marquis finds the hidden room that the villain told him about before shocking his brain, and finds things there exactly as Joker said.
At Arkham, Mary goes to Alice's cell and finds Alice trying to shock her brain with an improvised device, but it isn't strong enough. Mary stops Alice from hurting herself further and reminds Alice that she's found a sanatorium that will help her. Alice refuses to be locked up in another cell and slams Mary against a wall, and breaks into tears.
At Ryan's apartment, Ryan, Luke, and Sophie examine the buzzer and wonder what they do with its one charge remaining. Ryan figures that since Marquis has access to the Batcave, she has to go after him immediately, and they'll lure him in. Mary comes in and suggests they give the buzzer to Alice to use on herself, and warns that Alice won't survive her attempts to shock herself. Sophie point out that they already tried to help Alice, and Mary says that it isn't an easy decision for her but believe that Alice can change if given a chance. She reminds them that they told her she would have a voice on the team, and what's she's saying is it.
An urgent message comes in from Marquis announcing to Gotham that in five hours he's going to reveal Batwoman's secret identity, and she's not who everyone thinks she is. After Ryan leaves, Jada joins the others and Luke explains that Marquis used the computer in the Batcave to hijack every livestream in the city and make his announcement. Jada has her IT team try to track Marquis' location,
Ryan goes to Arkham and meets with Alice in the mess hall, and asks her why she thinks she deserves the buzzer. Alice figures that Ryan needs Alice to have the buzzer, and figures that Marquis after being zapped back to normal might not need Ryan.
Later at the Hold Up, Ryan closes the place while Jada gives Luke an electronic key to access the quantum computer at Gotham University. Jada's team bring the company's servers in while Luke goes to work,
As Ryan prepares to go, Alice tells her that she doesn't deserve the buzzer but she does information Ryan will need if she wants to live, and knows something about Marquis' obsession with Joker.
Luke gets ten hits on Marquis' location around Gotham Square.
Alice tells Ryan that Joker told Marquis about his plan to destroy Gotham, but Batman stopped Joker before he could pull it off. She has talked to some of the prisoners if Joker ever said what he was going to do, and he had.
Luke realizes that Marquis is in the air, and moving slowly.
Alice says that Joker had a plan to get everyone outside and bombard them with something wet, and Batwoman's secret identity reveal is just a lure. Joker planned to punish Gotham for worshiping the Batsignal.
In the Bat Blimp over Gotham, Marquis looks at the drums of acid rigged to explode in two and a half hours.
Luke realizes that Marquis has taken the Bat Blimp from the Bat Cave.
People look up at the sky where the Blimp passes overhead.
Ryan returns to the others and tells them what Marquis' plan is. She says that no one dies, and Luke says that he might be able to hack the Blimp's navigational system and get it close to them. Ryan tells him to get it to the GCPD rooftop and she needs Sophie and Mary to figure out a way to get everyone inside without provoking panic. Mary figures that they can use one of the trophies, which Marquis doesn't have access to, to influence people's behavior. Ryan figures that she has an idea how they can get in, and it involves Jada. Jada is drinking at the bar, and Ryan says that they'll get their family back. Ryan asks Jada to do to Marquis what she did to her and take Wayne Enterprises away from Marquis. Jada warns that Marquis' accounting is impenetrable, but figures she can get at him after the truth he's hiding. The older woman says that she'll put the city first no matter what ramifications it has for her.
As night falls, Jada calls Marquis and tells him that she's firing him with the help of the DOJ. Marquis doesn't believe her and hangs up, then turns on the TV to a news report of Jada admitting that she covered up Marquis killing his father, has had Marquis fired, and the Wayne board has reappointed Ryan to the position of CEO. Marquis shoots the TV, then yells out the Blimp that none of the citizens matter.
Mary and Sophie bypass the security and enter the Batcave, go to the computer, Marty calls Luke, and has him walk them through the procedure to do what Marquis did with the airwaves. Meanwhile, Sophie uses a sample of Ryan's DNA to access the trophy room. Meanwhile, Mary accesses the satellite portal and with Luke's help, accesses each satellite. Sophie comes back with Penguin's umbrella, which can induce a hypnotic state through eye fascination.
Batwoman gets to the GCPD rooftop and Luke reroutes the Blimp there. The pilot tells Marquis that he's been locked out of the controls, and Marquis shoots the pilot dead and then the controls, and Luke loses control. Batwoman grapples up and boards the Blimp, enters the cargo hold, and tries to disarm the acid bombs with Sophie's help. Sophie confirms the bombs are rigged with tripwires, while Mary sends out a new broadcast with the umbrella, telling everyone to take cover. Hypnotized, they obey, while Batwoman goes to find the controls and reroute the Blimp over the ocean.
Going to the cockpit, Batwoman finds the dead pilot and discover the controls are locked. Sophie warns that Marquis could detonate the acid bombs manually, and refuses to lose Ryan. Marquis enters the cockpit and boasts that half the citizens will live and remember that Batwoman didn't save him. Batwoman attacks him and tells him to disarm the bombs, and his plan failed. Marquis says that her plan to steal Jada from him failed, and tells Batwoman that Jada doesn't love her. As they fight, Batwoman insists that she's saving everyone for her family, beats Marquis, and tells him to give her her brother back. Marquis says that he's sorry and offers his hand, and Batwoman takes it and helps him up. He then says that he's sorry she's desperate for a family, and shoves her out a nearby window.
As Marquis puts on a parachute, Batwoman fires her grappling line and snags him, pulling him after her. Once she pulls him to her, Batwoman pulls the ripcord on the parachute, and they land safely on a rooftop together. Batwoman finally wakes up, and Sophie and Mary work on the bombs by remote.
Batwing flies up to the Blimp and confirms he can't rewire the controls in the two minutes he has left. Luke plugs in his helmet so the Ai can override the controls, but he'll have to leave it behind. On the rooftop below, Mm wakes up and attacks Batwoman, knocking them both off the roof. Batwoman grabs the edge with one hand and Marquis' hand with the other, and he points out that she can't hold them both up much longer. Marquis asks if she's willing to kill him or die for him, Alice arrives.
She remembers earlier telling Ryan that she was coming to for her help, because she's desperate, and Ryan telling Alice that she doesn't want to change on her own because it's hard, but if anyone can survive "hard", it's Alice, and giving Alice the buzzer. She tells Alice that she's giving her the buzzer, for Alice, but she and Alice both know deep down that Alice isn't the one who needs it.
In the present, Alice pulls Batwoman and Marquis up, and Marquis charges at Batwoman. She has the buzzer that Alice gave her, and uses it on Marquis. Batwoman thanks Alice, and Alice jokingly tells her that they're still not friends and she can't help Batwoman with the Blimp.
Luke plugs the AI into the controls and Sophie sends Luke coordinates for somewhere safe to pilot the Blimp to Gotham's most desolate area, because they don't have enough time to get it to the ocean. Luke tells his father's Ai that his father inspired him to be a hero, and thanks him. The AI says that it's proud of Luke and his team, and Luke should save his life. Luke flies out, and the Blimp blows up and crashes. Batwing lands safely and tells the others that he's unharmed, and a young boy who got lost finds Batwing and asks for his help finding his mother. Batwing introduces himself and says that he'll help.
Ryan takes Marquis to the clinic, and Mary confirms that physically, Marquis is okay. Jada is there, and thanks Ryan for finding a way to make it happen. She tells Ryan that Ryan has exceeded her wildest dreams, and hopes they can build a future together. Ryan says that she's like that.
Marquis wakes up, his sanity restored. He looks at Ryan, smiles, and greets his sister.
Mary find a note from Alice, pinned to her desk with a knife, with Alice saying that she's going to the sanatorium Mary found for her. ' Alice, without her blonde wig, walks out of her subway base.
Ryan and Sophie meet in the office, and Sophie asks what's next for them. They kiss, and Mary and Luke come in. Mary offers champagne, and Ryan asks if they're with her. The team says that they are, and Ryan tells them that it's time to get to work.
A news crew is at the amusement park where the Blimp crashed. A tattered figure emerges from the wreckage and kills them, then walks off.
