Laura has to oversee a case involving a serious injury, a man is seriously assaulted in his bedroom, his wife is found wandering about in a vague state of mind.
A solid second episode, perhaps not as strong as the opener, but definitely still very watchable. I had hoped for a continuation of the story from the first episode, but the focus was very much on the assault.
It lacked the humour they was present in the first episode, but there was definitely a good amount of intrigue. One thing I'm keen to learn, is whether Sam is on the straight and narrow, or if he really is as dodgy as he seems to be.
It's a well produced series, it looks really nice, they're certainly making the best of the wonderful surroundings.
Stephen Boxer was very good here, he's always been such an imposing figure, he plays the part of the controlling parent very well.
7/10.
