Great song, rest is okay

This is the music video for Metallica's "One" from over 25 years ago. I have to say I have been a fan of the band for a while and that is why I really managed to enjoy this one here. It's totally kick-ass. Hetfield (in his mid-20s) is on fire and so is the rest of the band. Excellent music from start to finish in these 8 minutes. Now the story with Jason Robards and Timothy Bottoms I probably did not get 100%, but that's not a problem either. It fits the song nicely in terms of style and is a very atmospheric watch. The very bleak colors totally work as well. It's a piece of (disturbed) harmony and there are some very scary shots in here actually, especially the last one. Directors Pope and Salomon were still fairly young when they made this one, but talent prevails and they are both Emmy nominees now. Good job from the duo, good job from everybody else who worked on this music video as well. A great success. Thumbs up.
