Pleasingly, the aggravating tension between Toadie and Jade seems to have pretty much gone by the end of this episode. The scene of them trying desperately to find something they have in common is genuinely amusing and their bonding over a board game rather sweet. It's simplistic but good Neighbours fare and for a show that often seems to be Neighbours in name only these days, it's very welcome.
Lucas' plot line is not so welcome. His calling some dodgy mates in order to earn a fast buck was already worrying but here he plunges headlong into crime by getting involved in a stolen car racket. It's setting it up to either ruin the character or wimp out and neither is particularly appealing.
There doesn't seem to be much reason for Summer, Andrew and Tasha to be in this episode but given how dreary their scenes normally are, reducing them to cameos is no bad thing.Tasha's lecture on Lucas' finances is a nice moment for her.
