- Only eight ladies remain -- and they all head to Costa Rica for some fun in the sun. "This is by far one of the most beautiful places I've ever been in my life," says two-time bachelor Brad. The women are equally as excited ... until Brad drops off the date card. Turns out that everybody is disappointed except for Chantal, who will receive the next one-on-one date. She SQUEALS with excitement -- much to the disapproval of creepy Michelle. "All I can do is be patient and hope Chantal gets attacked by monkeys or apes," creepy Michelle tells the camera. And we're honestly not sure if she's kidding.
Later, Brad arrives at the hotel to pick up Chantal. They go for a -- surprise, surprise --helicopter ride. Creepy Michelle, in the meantime, tells beautiful Emily that Chantal is SO wrong from the Bradster. "I think she's overly aggressive," says Michelle, who doesn't have any clue that she is the pot calling the kettle black. Cut back to Brad and Chantal who land next to -- surprise, surprise -- a zip line. "Apparently, this is the longest zip line in the world," Brad explains. "Half a mile. That's insane, man." The pair put on helmets and travels down the line. Brad has "SO much fun" -- and the date isn't over yet.
Back at the hotel, the second date card arrives. The big news: Alli gets the next one-on-one date! "Chantal definitely needs to step aside," Alli tells the camera. But not yet. Back in the jungle, Brad and Chantal have a candle-lit dinner near the river. "This is the best day ever," Chantal says. "I'm feeling things tonight that I dreamt of feeling one day." Suddenly, it starts to rain. "That sucks," Brad says. So the drenched duo retreats to Brad's bachelor pad for a night cap. Chantal puts on one of Brad's white dress shirts. "You look amazing," Brad comments. "Good God." They make out. Brad gives Chantal the rose.
The next morning, creepy Michelle can't believe that Chantal returned to the hotel with a rose -- and wearing Brad's shirt! "Brad is not Chantal's man," Michelle tells the camera. "He is MY man." Yikes. Later, the group date begins with the ladies meeting Brad at the top of a waterfall. "We are repelling down," Brad explains. Jackie, who is afraid of heights, is TERRIFIED. Creepy Michelle is ANGRY, claiming that Brad made a promise never to repel down anything with anybody else after their last repelling-based date. Turns out that Brad remembered his promise -- and tells Michelle that he had planned to repel with her the entire time. She is suddenly so happy! Up, down, up, down, up, down.
Later, the gang heads to the hot springs for a sexy dip and a few drinks. Emily pulls aside Brad and confesses that she is starting to have feelings for him -- and this is "scary" to her. She admits that she has sabotaged relationships in the past after becoming frightened. They make out. Creepy Michelle then corners Brad and wonders why he picked Chantal over her. "I don't see you with her," Michelle insists. Brad politely asks that they not talk about Chantal. Creepy Michelle responds by trying to kiss the Bradster. Ugh. Brad is now officially in a bad mood -- and announces that he has decided NOT to give out a rose. "If he can't make a decision, I'll be forced to take matter into my own hands," Michelle says.
The next day, Alli prepares for her big date. Brad arrives on horseback and the two ride off in the direction of a huge cave. "Here's the thing: this cave is over 40 million years old," Brad explains before leading his lady inside. Unfortunately, Alli is TERRIFIED of bugs and other flying things -- and such creatures are EVERYWHERE. With Brad's guidance, however, Alli conquers her fears and they eventually come to an underground waterfall. "This is awesome!" Brad exclaims. She agrees. Later, the two sit down for dinner at the hot springs ... and make small talk. "This conversation with Alli, who is by all accounts an incredible woman, is going nowhere," Brad tells the camera. Uh oh. The bachelor then breaks the bad news to Alli: "I can't give you this rose." She weeps.
"Right now, I'm not feeling so hot -- I'm just not," Brad tells the camera upon returning to his bachelor pad. He explains that he needs some time alone. Just then, someone knocks on the door. It's creepy Michelle. "Let's talk," she says. "When I'm not with you, I miss you." Michelle then leans in to make out with the Bradster, who reciprocates. Michelle explains that she is happy that Alli is gone. Michelle continues to bash the other ladies. "If you end up with Chantal, it will be a huge mistake," she says. Responds a bummed-out Brad: "Thanks for that." Has creepy Michelle finally gone too far?
Time for the cocktail party. Beautiful Emily explains that she has certain insecurities and will need Brad's help to stay strong. The Bradster agrees. "I refuse to give up on Emily," he tells the camera. "She's worth the fight." Brad then pulls aside creepy Michelle. "You're scaring with me -- you're scaring me badly," he tells her. Michelle claims that Brad asked for her opinion on the other ladies. "I know that I'm supposed to be here," she says through tears. "I want a husband. I want more children." YIKES. Later, Michelle admits to the other women that she visited Brad in his room. There is much tension. Nobody likes Michelle with the possible exception of Brad. Chantal then attempts to top Michelle in the crazy department by professing her love for the man she met a few weeks ago on camera. "I have fallen in love with you," Chantal says. "I love you." For Brad, the confession is proof that "this process is working." Interesting interpretation.
Time to hand out flowers! Roses go to Ashley, beautiful Emily, Britt, Shawntel and Michelle. So it's goodbye to Jackie, who is escorted to the nearest limo. "You feel like, 'What's wrong with me?'" she explains to the camera. "Brad's a great guy. I just feel like I fell short."
