There's some nice humour here and a few touching moments:Michael fussing around the caravan while Haydn looks on in bewilderment is hilarious, as is Donald's befuddling attempts to hide the truth from Sally and Sophie.There's also some nice girls' talk scenes between Pippa and Carly as they reflect on their marriages, perhaps coming across as equals.
In the midst of some good character moments, the big events are Michael and Pippa finally marrying and Ben returning for Carly, leading up to a rather awkward encounter at the cliffhanger.(Those MPs take an awfully long time to get to the house.)In a way, with Pippa consigning Tom's photo the drawer and Carly on her way out, this signals the beginning of a new era for the show.
