To please his kinsman the duke and the Florentine populace, ambitious Piero has contracted popular chariot racer Giovanni and hosts a glamorous party to present his acquisition. Hell-bent on a valuable autograph, Macchiavelli gate-crashes despite Lorenzo's warning, posing as a fictitious count Lampedusa, escorted by 'servants' Leonardo and Lisa. Mac gets his signed glove but his child-charitable fables inspire the star too much, even Leonardo could barely arrange an escape after Piero saw trough the charade and ordered the impostor seized.
