Principal photography took exactly 23 hours, divided in 2 shooting days. Another 3 days were taken to shot inserts and Child Edgar scenes.
Valdemar's makeup was designed from scratch to look as a living mummy rapidly losing liquids, and was made out of BBQ salsa and toilet paper.
Initially, the whole short film was scheduled to be shot in the Colombian Red Cross headquarters, but location was canceled due the story's subject on human experimentation. Just hours before shooting began, an abandoned cellar that used to house a college laboratory was provided by a local university as a new location.
