For some reason I get at least four emails each week from VH1 Press telling me all sorts of exciting news about the network that I haven't actually seen since I last watched Pop Up Video reruns while doing homework in 1998. It's rather inexplicable, not because I don't get a ton of pointless trade news to my Pajiba email but because I get this to my private email account. It is the only trade news I get to that email account. And I felt that eventually I needed to share with you. Because I'm a giver.
Some of this news is past due (i.e. advertising episodes that have since aired) but I know that it doesn't matter. Just because the train wreck isn't on the side of the road anymore doesn't mean the pictures aren't still astonishing.
On the next "RuPaul's Drag U" (Mon. July 11th), three "butch" lesbians...

Logo, the gay and lesbian network, has announced that it will be greenlighting two new series for the 2011/2012 TV season: Sex Rx, a docu-series about a group of people being treated for issues like sex addiction, and The A-List: Dallas, a new addition to its A-List franchise. Additionally, RuPaul’s Drag Race, RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, and the NewNowNext Awards will all be returning in 2012. These series will join previously announced Logo originals Setup Squad, a reality show about a matchmaking firm, and Pretty Hurts, which follows Rand Rusher, the “injectionist to the stars.”...

Logo is already showing viewers the dark side of plastic surgery with "Nip/Tuck." But now the network is showing viewers the real pain in perpetual beauty with new reality show "Pretty Hurts."
"Pretty Hurts" follows much sought-after "injector to the stars" Rand Rusher as he pokes and prods his Beverly Hills clientele, which includes celebrities, socialites, and even drag queens.
50-year-old women want to look 25, men want to look like women, and we'll even see moms take in their daughters for "birthday lips." We see all the pricks (the needles!) and the pros who help these diva-ish clients strive for perfection.
Of course, Rusher can't do it all on his own. Viewers will also meet his eccentric co-workers and colleagues who make up the rest of the "Pretty Hurts" cast: business manager Curt, laser specialist Joy, office manager Elizabeth and esthetician Maya.
