I didn't really get it

I dunno what to make of this one. I watched it twice to see if it would make more sense the second time. It sort of did.

Here's my interpretation: the protagonist is a young guy who works for a rich guy keeping his pool clean. He has sex with the rich guy's housekeeper and babysitter in the guy's bedroom, in a threesome, while the rich guy's away. The rich guy's son, who's about seven or eight, approaches the protagonist while he's cleaning the pool, demanding to see his wang. The protag pulls it out quickly, but the kid wants to see it erect, and threatens to tell his father what the protag does in his room while he's away. So the protag whacks off in front of the kid. This is only depicted from the neck up, and there's a surprising total lack of male nudity in the movie, despite it being marked as "gay interest".

Anyway, the kid's dad comes back, asks the protag about strange behaviour, he lies, the babysitter throws milk at him and calls him a monster, and then he watches as the boy and father talk, holding a gun and crying. And then it's over.

I had no idea what to make of the ending the first time I watched this movie. In fact, I had to watch it twice to really get it. I think I might understand it a bit better now. It seems obvious that the babysitter assaulted the protag because she found out about him whacking off in front of the kid, right? And when he watched the father and son conversing, he was terrified the son was telling his father about it?

The question is why I didn't get that the first time, and I think the reason was because the guy took no convincing at all to whack it in front of the kid. It's shown like it's no big deal, just as when he quickly flashes the kid before. So why does he go from not caring at all, to suddenly going crazy with fear about the repercussions of his actions? Did the babysitter throwing milk on him make it dawn on him what he did?

The movie doesn't communicate any of this. It's too distancing and deadpan, and I didn't really get it.
