The Cinema Snob: The Eerie Midnight Horror Show
The Cinema Snob (2009)
"The Eerie Midnight Horror Show"
In this now long-running series, writer-director Brad Jones play the title character, the Cinema Snob, a mainstream or high art critic who decides to review some of the most notoriously bad movies ever made. Since the original episode this series has grown to have a very high cult following and fans from around the world.
The Cinema Snob talks about seeing this film's VHS cover and thinking it was a rip-off of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW but he then informs us that it's actually another rip-off of THE EXORCIST. This here is perhaps the weakest episode in the series that I've seen up to this point but that doesn't mean it's not worth watching. There are a couple funny jokes aimed at THE EXORCIST II but there's really isn't too many other jokes. Perhaps the film itself just wasn't bad enough to where it could have gotten more jokes. I'm not sure but fans of the Snob will enjoy watching it even without the usual number of laughs.
