The Cinema Snob: Wanda the Sadistic Hypnotist
The Cinema Snob (2009)
"Wanda The Sadistic Hypnotist"
In this now long-running series, writer-director Brad Jones play the title character, the Cinema Snob, a mainstream or high art critic who decides to review some of the most notoriously bad movies ever made. Since the original episode this series has grown to have a very high cult following and fans from around the world.
WANDA THE SADISTIC HYPNOTIST is one of many films that was released by Something Weird Video and as The Cinema Snob would say, one man's pleasure is another man's trash and there's no question that the reviewer wasn't overly entertained with this picture. For the third film in his series, Brad Jones talks about this pretty much forgotten picture that was meant to cash-in on the OLGA series. For the most part this episode is fun, although there's no question that it doesn't quite live up to the previous two entries. I thought there were some pretty good jokes here including the one about the magical powers of Wanda being able to get a lesbian to sleep with a man named Sylvester.
