Ben K. Blake had produced and directed a series of musical comedy shorts for Columbia Pictures in New York in the 1930s and '40s, but not many of them have stayed in circulation. This entry, My Wife's an Angel, was the only one that was syndicated by Screen Gems as part of its Hilarious Hundred television package in 1959 (a collection of non-Three Stooges comedy two-reelers). The only thing interesting about this short is an early starring role for Allen Jenkins, who would later go on to have a successful career in television. Other than that, it's pretty average.
